i am 20 weeks preg and had my 2nd trime ultrasound recently.
my hubby was totally against knowing the sex of the baby so we dint find out but i really wanted to know. :)
then after that we visited my gyno and she wanted to see the baby's heartbeat and did an ultrasound, while doing that she saw the baby and asked us, ' oh... you are having a baby boy.... ? ' then i asked(screamed) in excitement ' ITS A BOY ???!!!!!! ' and my husband stood blinking.
by now she had figured out that we had chosen not to know the sex and she said, ' oh am not really sure.. it could be a girl... i am just concentrating on seeing the heartbeat...'
so what do you guys think ? girl or boy ?

It's definitely a boy. My hubby is an ob/gyn, so I know that at 20 weeks, they would NOT be confused on that one. Your doctor only backtracked when she realized she shouldn't have said anything.
I think that if you wanted to know, but your hubby didn't, he should have left the room so that you could find out on your own. There is no reason why you should have to do it his way. My hubby and I would have a lot of fun with one of us knowing and one of us not...I can think of a thousand little ways to make that fun and to build up to the surprise on the day of the birth.
Again, there is NO way that you are having a girl if the doctor slipped up and said boy. There is NO mistaking a boy on a 20 week ultrasound.

its a boy...im assuming she only said "oh am not really sure, it could be a girl" because of ur husband's reaction and that u both chose not to know the sex of the baby. but WHatever u are expecting..CONGRATS

Its a boy. Your doctor most likely didn't know that you didn't want to know the sex of the child. And they way that you claim she said it I would guarantee that it is def a boy.

congrats...she was just trying to cover up her mistake. They are supposed to ask you every time you do an ultrasound if you are finding out the sex.

lol i bet its a boy! usually when they say boy then there right. now if they they said girl i would say that it could be either but i bet its a boy!. iam havin a boy too and iam 25 weeks.

boy, she was just trying to cover up after she realised you didn't want to know the gender. They are almost never wrong, especially when it's a boy. congratulations.

If I were a betting person, I would guess it was a boy and she was just trying to cover her tracks.
