I let my mother in law watch on my 10 month old son while me and husband was gone she had him outside with no repelent on in a oneise. He got two mosquitoes bites on his legs and they look like welts. I've had mosquitoes bites all the time and they never look like that. The redness has spread a little to can anyone make anything of this.

It's the histamine reaction. Call your ped and find out if you can give him some benadryl to help with it. Some people are just more sensite, and babies definately are. Your doc might want to see him just to rule out infection, though.

He might be allergic to them, my son developes huge welts everytime he gets bite. He got bite by his eye and it swelled shut, poor thing looked like he got into a fight. Benedryl can be given to a baby if doesage is correct for age.

I have a granddaughter that is allergic to mosquito bites. Take him to the doctor before they can get any worse. Good luck to you and him.
