Our son's 2nd birthday is coming up and we're getting him a train/car table to play on, he LOVES trains, cars, etc. Is it ok on the bottom of the invites to put something along the lines of (child's name) loves trains, cars & dinosaurs! to give guests (most of which is family) ideas. They tend to ask anyway so I thought this might help?

I don't think it's a good idea, but my sister, the adoptive insists on make friend with the birth mom, would the child be confused on who's his mother? I mean it remind me of that story in Bible, Moses's nanny is his birth mom,.. would that actually work out in real life?

Ok so I am always planning everything out with my insane excel chart. I'm such a nerd. Ok so anyway, I am 20 weeks pregnant and I'm going to be moving out with my boyfriend on Oct 1 and I want to plan all our finances. How much should I budget for diapers, formula and other things I have no clue about? Thank you for all your help, it's much apprechated!

so on july 27th, it was confirmed that i had a miscarriage, everything came out on it's own (no D&C needed) and on august 8th they confirmed that everything was out. Now this weekend, i had a fever, i was very achy, and i'm getting some quick dizziness... could this be miscarriage related...serious answers please.

ok, when i was 10/11, and my brother was 12/13 we would "play" with each other (private areas) when my parents weren't around. sometimes, i didn't want to do it, but he kept bugging me till i let him. i did not consider this as abuse since he was only two years older than me, and if i absolutely did not want to do it, then i could have just said no. he wouldn't have forced me. and also because i kind of enjoyed it. but then i heard a speaker talk a few months ago when i was at camp, and he said that if someone older than you touched you, then that person was taking advantage of you whether you enjoyed it or not. i'm 16 now, and he's 18. now you woulda never knew it happened at all. we don't talk about it, he's fixing to go to fire school to be a fire fighter, and everythings all dandy. it's just lately i've been thinking about whether or not i was abused, taken advatage of, or if it was my own fault? can i have your opinions to sort this whole thing out in my head. thanks.

I usually give my daughter crystal lite, different flavors, for her juice instead of the other juices that has a lot of sugar in them. All I drink is Crystal Lite and she really likes it as well.

Someone just mentioned to me that i should ask a doctor about my daughter dirnking crystal lite cuz of the sweetener or something? idk...but its got me a little worried now cuz my daughter drinks crystal lite daily.

Is this silly to worry about?

I have 4 boys and my husband would really love to have a girl now. We would both be happy with whatever we are blessed with though. I started my period on Aug. 11 and just wondering as to when to have sex to try for the little girl.

My daughter is 7 years old. School is about to start and I'm considering switching schools. The reason is because last year she was being harrased everyday. To make a long story short, my daughter has never known her father or his family. But he has a niece that goes to the same school, and she was constantly saying mean things to my daughter, and telling her things that made her upset. Everyday I had to fight with my daughter to even get her to go to school cuz she was scared to go. My ex's family just keeps finding ways to harras us and my daughter gets scared. So should I transfer her to a different school so that she doesn't have to have any contact with this family, and actually be able to enjoy school?

Has anyone used this breastfeeding pillow? I'm a plus sized Mom and can't find any details on what sizes it will fit. I know the Boppy pillow just altered their model so it will fit any size mom, but the Breast Friend pillow gets great reviews too.

I you are pregnant than you should have the baby, not kill it. Just because you are so messed up in the head, doesn't mean that you can just kill an innocent life. You are killing your own child! If you really don't want a baby, then you should just stop having unprotected sex. Please just tell me why these horrible mothers are getting away with murder.

I have cared for children since I have been about 12 years old when my first neice was born. So I've been really great with diciplining older children but I am so confused with my 6 month old! When I sit him down for floor time he gets so angry! He will sit on the floor and I will lay next to him and encourage him so he's not alone but he just does not enjoy this at all. I feel like he is spoiled already. I started trying this...after about five minutes of him loosing his temper I lay him in his crib and let him cry for about ten minutes and then get him back to play again if he has not cried himself to sleep...am I doing the right thing? Is he spoiled by me and my family? I don't want to get into bad habits as he is young, cuz I know how bad it can get as I worked in day care for years!

Hoping to be preggy soon after our miscarriage in May. Wishful thinking and jotting down names for both a little boy and girl. (I just asked a question about a little girls name). Now I need your opinion on a little boys name. I asked a few weeks ago about the names Bo & River... But my hubby is sticking to his guns that if we would have another boy his name would be Cash. Its unique. I sort of like it. I would like your opinion? Also... any suggestions you have on middle names. I thought about Cash Jonathan. (John is my fathers name). His initals would be C.J. I know a lot of ou do not like nick names or shortened names, but I find nothing wrong with them.

P.S. My sons name is Brody William. I like the balance of a not so popular, but unique name balanced with a strong middle name. Cash Jonathan?

Well the end of July I took a pregnancy test and got a positve. My period ended on June 26th. So how far along does that make me and 2nd I've had horrible morning sickness and ended up in the emergency room twice. I have my first Ob-gyn appointment tomorrow and I"m very nervous can anybody tell me what usually happens at that first appointment. I'm so scared thanks.

they have a play station 2 game and when the young wants to play the 14 year old has a roblem with it i cant afford to buy 2 of the game so they have to share. the 14 year old one has a learning disability his age might be 14 but he sure acts alot younger sometimes my 7 year old one acts better then the other one. he has been checked out by the school and that is why we know this about the older one.i have tried time limit but the younger one seems to want the older one up there at times.what would you do???????????

My sister and her husband, loving parents of my 2 year-old niece, have just found out (yesterday) that they miscarried the second child, who was 9 weeks into development. I don't think flowers are the appropriate thing to send (although they may be, but I don't want to go that route). What are some suggestions for something else I can send her? I'm trying to eat healthy but I'm craving burgers like crazy! Any one else have this?

ok. im 8 weeks pregnant. My eating habits have been terrible since the day I was born. My parents are the same way. No one in my family knows how to cook, my mom grew up with no parents, therefore I never ate good. I'm not fat, but i could lose about 20 pounds. I am not trying to lose weight, since im pregnant. my question is, I know you are suppose to eat super healthy when your pregnant, but if you dont, are you really hurting your baby? I take my prenatal vitiamins every night. Never missed one. But i dont eat vegetables. I drink alot of milk and orange juice. I only have one glass of soda a day. But i love ice cream and french fries. For breakfast I usually have a bagel and orange juice. For lunch, since my on my work lunch break, I have Wendy's nuggest and fries. For Dinner, I have maybe some chicken and mash potatoes or corn. I understand I dont eat the healtiest, but am I really hurting my baby even though I am taking my prenatal vitiamins every day?
