I was a 36 DD or DDD before getting pregnant. Now things are escalating! I am in search of a maternity bra with good support. Anyone have a suggestion of where I should start shopping?

OneHanesPlace.com.. They have leading lady and Bravado bras.. I'm "top heavy" and I like wearing the "leading lady" leisure bra.. It's front hook closure but, I wear it as a sleep bra and to nurse around the house. It's stretchy and really comfortable with front hooks (8).. I also like bravado it's like a sports bra pull over with snaps on the straps.. It's on the expensive side.. I wear my leisure bra's way more often... I got the leading lady 2pk for $15.00 a while back.. At the maternity store I paid nearly double just for one bra... So, my advice to you is to get sized and try a few bras on and get the name/style # and look for the best bargain online.. good luck

If you don't know what size bra you wear, you might want to start with going and getting your breast size measured by a professional bra expert. And asking them. Because there is a huge difference between a DD and a DDD. You'd be a F before your ever a DDD. Go get mesured. Go to a langerie store, and ask them for help. That's what I do. My DDs have shrunk down alot since I've lost weight and had 2 babies! I'm down to a D now. And I'm happy with it, but a boob lift wouldn't hurt. I'll have to wait though, cause I have baby #3 on the way now. So I might jump back up to a DD again. Never know. hope that helps.

Target has a good selection of maternity/nursing bras. I think the largest is a 42DD though.

JC Penney has a good selection of larger sizes, however I ordered a couple and they were huge so I had to send them back and reorder a couple times to get the right fit (if you have them shipped to the store instead of your home there's no charge for shipping).

Motherhood Maternity's bras all ran very small and I couldn't find one that fit right.

If you like underwire bras steer clear of the Medela bras ~ I paid $42 for mine and the underwire poked through and was digging into me about 2 hours after I put it on ~ big rip off! I've tried sports bras too and found they didn't really offer much support.

Good Luck!

I frequently discover my length (40 two DD) at Wal-Mart. they convey Playtex variety it rather is equipped in plus sizes. i do unlike those at Lane Bryant, they're frequently padded which purely makes my chest seem greater. Motherhood Maternity has a small decision too which promises a lot of help, regardless of if, they're nursing bras. the only distinction is that there is a tiny clasp on the remarkable which you will unhook for nursing, in any different case they appear as if numerous different bra and a few comprise an excellent lace trim. i've got grown to a cup E because i've got been pregnant and that i enjoyed the bras I have been given from Motherhood. i could recommend you do get a nursing bra because you will proceed to apply it as antagonistic to purely a time-honored one.

Bravado on amazon. Search "maternity bras" and also read reviews. 2 great more expensive ones is much better than a bunch of cheapos that dont work.

Also I loved the tanks with built in shelves - not nursing or maternity - to sleep in.

The best 'maternity' bras are in the 'sports bra' packaging...

If you want nursing bras (debatable how likely you are to wind up the same size in, in my experience, even six weeks, but), Warner's makes a couple of decent ones, and so does Motherhood.

i was not impressed with the quality of the motherhood maternity bras i bought. they were very supportive at first, but after a few washes, they lost their elasticity quickly, and were much less supportive. i had a lot of trouble finding my size here in the US, so i ordered one off of eBay from the UK. it was the best... and still is! but sometimes with eBay, you never really know what you're gonna get until it arrives and you've already paid for it.
