I'm supposed to make a meal to bring to a new mom who's breastfeeding. I've been instructed not to make anything "gassy" or anything with broccoli or garlic, or anything spicy? I'd like to make something that would be easy for her to reheat. What on earth can I make for her? Should I just get takeout, if so what (excluding pizza)? Thanks.

How far along were you when the u/s tech predicted and how sure was she? Was she right or wrong? Was 3/4-D equipment being used? I had my 20 week u/s done and the tech said she was 100% sure it's a girl. Of course we can't be 100% sure until the baby is born, but... This tech has a reputation of being really good and I have a picture of the girl parts but now I've read stories about the girl parts turning into boy parts.

Now I've been hearing all these stories where the mom's found out on the 2nd ultrasound that they were wrong or worse when the baby was born. Does it really happen that often now with the advanced ultrasound equipment? Tell me about YOUR PERSONAL experience. I have 4 children and the u/s techs were always right when they predicted gender.

My husband and I are expecting our second baby any day now. We have picked out the first name (Camryn), but we can't decide if her middle name should be Ashley or Lyndsay...both names work and sound cute. What do you all think?

Somewhere for unruly, mouthy 12 yr old boy to go....my neighbour's 12 yr old is being soooo mouthy and disrespectful to his Mom. Many issues here, but I think best solution for summer is for Mom to have somewhere to send him for a little while. She has a 10mth old and a 6 yr old to deal with as well and big brother is NOT being nice to them either.
Any suggesstions? Please no disrespectful answers, this is serious and hence the reason I am reaching out to anyone that can help. Thanks, Sue

My son who is 8 months old has a flatness to the back of his head, called plagiocephaly... and is going in for the DOC band in two weeks. Just wondering if anyone out there has a child or know of a child that has gone through the same thing? Any pointers or suggestions? How did you handle stares and comments from other people? Did you see a significant improvement? Did you paint yours? If you did, how did you do it? Thank you!

I am barely showing. Really the baby has just pushed out some of my fat. But I need to know if wearing this shaper is bad. It just makes my stomach look smoother under clothes. Instead of flabby.

I just read an answer from another user that said that once you hit 1cm dialated your doc/midwife would be checking you every 20-30 minutes.
Holy Moley!! Are there really doctors that try to do that???
There is NO REASON to be checked that often (unless you are high risk)! Could you imagine being checked every 30 minutes of a 24 hour labor! Getting checked is awful. You are already uncomfortable and in pain and someone sticking their fingers where the pain is originating from is no way to spend 24 hours! You will know when you are ready to push. As long as they can check the baby's heart rate and yours, there is no reason to put fingers anywhere. (Maybe once when you arrive to see if the baby is head down).
I was checked with both of my babies only when my behavior led them to believe it was getting time to push.
What in the world did women do before we had big strong doctors to violate our bodies during labor??

I was wondering if any one had any recommendations on a jewelry store to buy an engagement ring from. For example Kay Jewelers or Dunkin Diamonds or just anything along those lines. Do they have reasonable prices but still had a great selection and quality? Also if they have a website online I would really appreciate the link. We are thinking about possibly buying online as well. And I would love to hear any personal experiences with buying from some of the companies. Thanks. ♥ ♥ ♥

My ex and I disagree she feels we should expect the same from the boys but my youngest(8yrs.) is hyperactive and my oldest(10yrs.) seems born to please. My position is that it is unrealistic to hold them to the same standards of behavior, because they are fundamentaly different people. Her position is that it shows favoritism to turn an occasional blind eye to the younger when he does something wrong. (the oldest nearly ever needs to be reprimanded)

Is it dangerous to give to my son if he isnt vomiting? Like with the hot weather, that is pretty much all he will drink. He wont drink milk, water, or juice. Could it harm him? THanks!

At my brothers wedding there were little kids sprinting behind us during the wedding toast (not his or his bride kids, but guests). I thought this was rude, but it constantly happens. In the days of no spanking, children allowed to bring toys, car seats for 11 year olds, etc, I know parents try to do everything to control every waking moment of their kids lives nowadays, so how come I still see kids falling out in stores, hitting their parents, screaming at them in the middle of stores b/c they're not getting what they want, questioning parents authority, etc.?

my daughter has been 'teething' since 5 1/2 months. now she is 7 months and still no tooth has erupted. how long does it take until a tooth comes out? i know she is teething because at 5 1/2 months she was yanking at her ear, which i thought was an ear infection, but when i took her to her doctor, i was told she was teething.

My daughter will be 10 in October. For the past few months every thing is such a big deal. For example when she can't make her picture she is coloring perfect she ends up sobbing uncontrollably. Or if she can't get something fastened, like her seatbelt, on the first try she freaks out. Her doctor has told me that it is probably hormones. Do kids really have hormone problems at 9? My mom said I didn't start acting like this till I was 13 or 14. I feel bad for her. Anybody else been throught this? Is there anything I can do to help her?

Please don't launch into an angry tirade. l'm asking you to seriously consider the consequences of a child being born to incapable or uncaring parents, and if you would still arive at the same conclusion. Would you still be pro-life if you had to take in all the un-aborted children? Thank you in advance.

Can you tell if you are dialated by sex? My husband and I never have sex anymore. (i mean like only 1-2 times a month) and last night we had sex. Usually he says I feel really tight, but last night he said I felt loose. I am 34 weeks. I know you can dialiate weeks before you actually go into labor, but I am just curious.
