My three year old daughter has been potty trained and doing fine for over 6 months now. For several weeks she's been picking her underwear saying that it "sticks." We bought her bigger sized which didn't work. They're all 100% cotton; have cotton seems, no tags. I ask her where it sticks and basically it's touching her skin. We thought it was an attention getter; she nervously looks over at me before she does it sometimes. So we've stopped telling her not to pick her underwear. Lately I've been watching - what's seemingly a nervous habit? - and she picks her underwear every 5-10 seconds. Sometimes less often, but it's getting worse. I've tried shorts too; and she picks those less often, but still does it. Help! Anyone else have this issue?

How do you do it? I am a step parent of two boys (14 & 11) and have tried hard to keep our relationship positive and close. I have had to learn to be flexible and agreed my role with my husband, which has changed significantly over the 9 years I have known them. I think things are going well right now but I would love to know how others in the same situation, with successful step relationships have/are doing it, for myself and all others in a similar situation.

Thanks

I want to name my daughter Alannah (one variation of the spelling). And I want her middle name to be either Katherine (my prefered spelling) or Mae (spelling is staying on this one). Both of the middle names are family names so neither is prefered over the other but one of them is staying. And no, I only want one middle name)

What middle name would you use and how would you spell both of them (if the name doesn't already have a set spelling)

Hello everyone
I have a bit of a dilema. Even though I work only from 7am to 12noon, I always find myself getting winded. I always carry a bottle of water with me, but I have asthma too so sometimes it doesn't even help. I work in the stock room and up at the cash register and I already fainted and fell over twice (I went to the hospital and my doc said that the baby is alright after I got checked up.). Should I take leave from my job soon? Even standing gets me out of breath and my back aches like crazy (plus my feet are swollen most of the time). Should I take leave now or wait a few more weeks? My fiance says to take leave when I feel ready to (he also works) , but I still would like to save up money for the arrival of this baby. Please help! i want to do what's best for this little boy of ours and I don't want to put him at any risk or danger. Thank you.

We need help naming our son, and my boyfriend wants to go with biblical names... his last name is Myers, so i was hoping for nothing to familiar, but not to sure about Malachai..or Malakai. i could call him Kai for short, but it's either Malachai Myers, or Ezekiel Myers... what do you think?

Hey
Me and a few others are working together to make up a separate section on here specifically for 'Teen Pregnancy'.
For those teens who aren't pregnant, the constant "Am I Pregnant!?!?!" questions get annoying. So we might even give them sarcastic answers.
So, I think a separate section would be ideal so that these teens can get the proper answers that they need.
If your with us on this one, please sign this! :)

Thanx!

I have a stepdaughter and she is very overweight. She is 6 and I am buying her size 12 & 14 size clothes. Her waist is just a few inches smaller than mine and I'm not small.

I want her to be healthy.

She wants to eat ALL the time. 10 minutes after we eat, she is asking me for a snack! And, she's a picky eater so she'll eat hardly any veggies or fruits. She obsesses over food -- what's for dinner -- when are we going to eat. She thinks about eating all the time. She's very inactive when she plays.

I am concerned because I was fat as a child, and I know that if we don't help her now, she will struggle with it for the rest of her life.

To make matters worse, daddy is even pickier and eats hardly any healthy foods and eats sweets. So, he won't set a good example for her. Plus, daddy feeds her 2 or 3 snacks (maybe one of them healthy) after school when I'm not there. She also eats a LOT at meals when she likes it.

Any ideas how to address this? Should I be worried?

I'm a 30 year old male, and at this point I'm sure I'm never going to want kids. I've noticed however, that people (with, as well as without kids) tend to react with alarm and concern, and even get offended when I tell them this. Why is this? It's not like I dislike children. In fact I quite get a kick out of them. I just don't want any of my own. It's like clowns...amusing, but I don't want to live with any,

I realize that all three of these names are on the top 10 list from 2006. I love the old fashioned and feminine sound of them, but I dont want my daughter to be one of three little girls in her class with the same name. Can you think of some other classic, feminine, 2-3 syllable names ending in "a" that would be unique, but not too unusual or difficult to pronounce?

I've always heard that it was wrong to spank children, but never heard of any psychological effects that would follow. At the most, I've just read very general and vague statements like, "spanking is bad." or "spanking children is a violent act." and no concrete evidence follows. Please Help.

I ovulated around the 15 of june and it's been 12 days since. I'm pretty sure I implanted last Thursday. I thought I had enough HCG to test with but when I took a test I bought from dollar tree it came back negative. I'm positive from my symptoms that I'm pregnant. What should I do? Did the test being only $1 make it poor quality or did I test too soon? Thanks

Is this true? Does it have anything to do with the size of the woman? Also how far will they let you travel in your last month?

My little girl was born after a long diffucult labour followed by a c-sec. She is now just over 4 weeks old and has been suffering from reflux, which is making her very miserable and sick constantly and not sleeping much at all. all this is making me very miserable too, i think i am suffering from PPD a little and am so tired and irriable. I feel cheated by her birth as i didn't get to cuddle her and bond immediately, and, although I love her to bits, she sometimes feels like a strangers baby. I so want to enjoy my little girl and at my wits end as to what to do. Has anyone else experienced this and how did u overcome it? any advice would be greatfully appreciated

I know there are a million other questions like these here, but I haven't seen one where they have dizziness or blurred vision. (Well, maybe not blurred...it's like its getting dark in the room and it starts from the outside and moves inward.) This mostly happens when I stand, sit or bend down. Please answer soon if you can help.
