my wife is five months along. i know she wants to have some intercourse and i do too but i'm nervous about causing her or our unborn daughter harm. we haven't had any for a few months now. its our first child. my wife and i have a pretty healthy and happy marriage. we are looking very forward to our daughter's birth. what did u other pregnant ladies experience during intercourse? i know this seems weird me asking this from my wife's email but yahoo answers won't get me started with my own. should i talk to my wife's doctor about this? and is it alright to be nervous or worried about doing it?

I have a question for all of you that think abortion is wrong. If you were raped by a gentleman on a dark alley, or a few men for that matter; would abortion be a bad thing then? Is abortion right in some cases... and for the the chick that goes by "preggers" not only were you rude but you are selfish yourself... there is no need to talk to someone the way you did on that other question. You can't judge some one until you walk in their shoes. Just because you feel a certian way does not mean that others feel the same. Have some compassion, you do not know her circumstances.

My friend's parents called the police on her because she had pot in her room. If I was the parents i would just ground her for months. She was grounded AND the police called on her. Is it just me or is that a little too drastic?

My baby was 2 weeks old when I shook him while he was choking, I paniced! Since then he is still very active in eating, smiling, laughing and of course sleeping. He is now 4 months old and stronger than ever. I didn't see any symptoms of him being hurt but could I have done something that will effect him in the long run?

The last few days the daycare girls have been putting my son to sleep on his stomach. I was upset because of the risk of SIDS. On his crib their is a sign that clearly states that he is too young to sleep on his tummy and that he must be always placed on the back to sleep. So I asked the girl why he was asleep on his stomach, and she told me because of gas and his fussiness. The next few days I began to notice the girls put all the babies regardless of age on their stomachs. Today my son was asleep on his stomach and I am very uncomfortable with that, not only does it pose the risk of SIDS but now I question the quality of the care this day care provides. They say if the baby is old enough to roll over on to their tummies then its ok but my son is only 3 months and I notice they put all the babies to sleep on their tummies. Are Daycares allowed to put babies to sleep on their stomachs? What should I do and say the next time this happens? (which will probably be tomorrow)

i CANNOT wait to start solids with my son.
he's only 3 months, i'm waiting untill 5 or so.. but getting excited!

I would like to hear other mommy/daddy's experiences with first time they introduced solids. Did the baby enjoy it? Was it fun for both of you? Now do you wish you could just go back to the bottle?

My son has reflux. They told me to have him sleep upright but how can I position him like that at home? The nurse said no pillows. So what are other ways to have him sleep like that?

My girlfriend is away one month for school. We are both in the Military and she called me this morning and said she is spotting, from what I know, this could mean possible pregnancy right? She's almost 2 1/2 weeks from her next cycle. Any help?

My lad is fantastic, love him to bits!! We play, read,go cinema and all that, but over the last few weeks he has been getting in trouble at school (being rude to teachers etc) just being silly really. We talk he says it's nothing and is apologetic , a few days later same old thing !! We'v done the naughty chair/time out/ taking away his toys/ all the warnings he needs, yet things go pear shape within days. Now is straight to bed after the usual warnings etc .. He's rude to the missus and hits his younger sister!! Trying to nip things in the bud but its not good!! We don't smack but can see how easily it can be brought on.. Any thing I havent tried yet please go for it..

I went to the Dr. for my sons 18 month check up and the Dr. said that he is a little behind on verbal skills. The only word my son really says is Dad & he understands who it is, which is very frustrating because I'm a stay at home mom & you would think his first word would be mama since I'm with him most of the time. The Dr. suggested I read more to him. I think I've read almost every book to him & he loves it, but still does not talk. He is now 20 months & still refuses to talk. He understands when I tell him simple things like time for bed, do you want a drink?, or just basic things, but he will never say anything. He looks like he understands it's just he refuses to try to speak. Has anyone else had this problem or is there something I'm doing wrong?

Any suggestions? I've thought about the Precious Moments figurines and that's my last resort but I feel like I can find something better and not so generic as a lot of other things out there.

Any ideas would be appreciated!
