This is baby acne. Very common. It will clear up in about 3 or 4 more weeks. My son still will break out all over his chin where he drools all the time.

Infant Acne
At around 3 to 4 weeks of age, some babies get tiny, firm, pus-filled pimples with a slight redness around the base on their face, and these tiny blemishes can spread to the shoulders and back. (I jokingly tell parents that infant acne usually breaks out just before relatives from out of town arrive to see the new baby.) As far as I know, no one has studied whether infants who get acne as newborns have a higher incidence of adolescent acne, but the mechanism is probably similar. Hormones present at the end of your pregnancy stimulate oil glands in baby's skin, and the oil clogs pores. No treatment is necessary because the condition disappears on its own within a few weeks.
When to Worry:
Call the doctor if the pimples are not small and hard but large and squishy, and seem to have liquid pus in them, or if there is more than a little redness around the base. This may be a sign of a bacterial infection, which would need to be treated with antibiotics.

Baby acne. It happens to probably 99% of newborns. It looks UGLY but it doesn't harm or bother the baby in any way. It might spread even further and look worse before it gets better. (I've seen babies with it from the middle of their chests, up over the tops of their heads, and halfway down their back.) All it is the baby's body adjusting to being outside the womb.
Keep it clean, keep it dry. Don't use lotions or creams or anything like that on it - it could make it worse. Use a mild soap to wash his face with. If you ignore it long enough, it will go away. Sometimes it takes up to six months to go away, but it does, and I've never seen it leave any scars or anything like that if you leave it alone.

If he has red rashy breakout....you need to contact the doc after you have given it time enough that you know it isn't heat rash (hour or so)
If you are referring to bumps that look like pimples, you are looking at milia. also referred to as baby acne or milk bumps.
Here is a bit from Babycenter.com
"... They're harmless and they're very common — about 40 percent of newborn babies get them, most often on the upper cheeks, nose, or chin. Some babies have just a few, and others have many of them.
It can be upsetting to see your beautiful infant's skin covered in these little bumps, but they aren't painful or contagious. And they'll go away without any treatment in two or three weeks.
You may spot similar bumps on your baby's gums or on the roof of her mouth. These are called Epstein's pearls, and they're also harmless"

My 4 week old daughter just got a rash like this, this week also. I took her to the ped today and he said it was a rash caused by yeast. Probably from all the moisture from sweat, nursing, etc. She got a prescription cream for it. It also started on one side, then went to the other side, her ears, chin, and sides of the neck over 3-4 days.
If you are worried, it won't hurt to take him to the doctor just to be sure. He's pretty young.

It could either be a heat rash (try dressing him a little bit cooler than you have been)
OR
It could just be the baby acne that all babies usually get around this age. It's annoying and awful looking but it does go away with time. Don't do anything to him if this is what it is. No creams, don't pop them, nothing.
Of course, you will want to verify with your doctor what it is.

It might be baby acne. My daughter is 5 weeks and had the same problem. The pediatrician told me to put a tiny bit of hydrocortisone on it 2 times a day, and her face looks alot better.

It might just be from the hormones in your body and now its coming out in the form of these little like pimples on the baby. Lots of babies get it. Its called baby acne. Just keep the baby's face clean and they will go away soon.

Thats normal, its just because he is no longer protected by the amniotic fluid and his face is reacting to the outside world, its just baby acne. There are a few things you can get for it over the counter, but from what I've seen most dont work. The best is to just wait it out, dont pick at it and he'll get ovre it.

Our daughter had an identical subject the terrific element you're able to do is the two to maintain the mitts on him or use an toddler emery board to maintain his nails short. attempt submitting his nails whilst he's asleep which will make it much less annoying. he continues to be gaining understanding of the thank you to apply his hands, legs and arms so often times he will scratch himself it is generic. appreciate being a clean mom, and get some sleep ;)
