We were pregnant with our twins and they said they were sure it was a boy and girl - 3 u/s and all of them were b/g - they even put it in our charts...
We had two girls.
The rest of my u/s were right on for our other 3 children.

Unless the baby just won't let them see at all, they're usually right, since u/s machines are much more advanced now than they were even 10 years ago. I have heard that they are more likely to be wrong when they say girl, though, than when they say boy, however in my personal experience it has been the opposite.
My mother-in-law's youngest child (now 8) was 100% boy, but they got a shock when she was born.
My friends friend was pregnant with a 100% boy, but imagine their shock when she gave birth to twin girls.
They said 100% boy for my son, and they were right, and they said 80% girl for my neice, and they were right.
The four of us had the regular u/s, but my cousin recently had some of the 4-d ones for her twin boys so the dr could check for possible cleft palate/lip. The detail was incredible, and they could surely tell they were both boys, and her first regular u/s could tell that, also.
Everyone else I've known, the u/s tech got it right, but I don't know the details (how far along, how good of a look, % sure, etc).
Good luck!

No tech should ever say they are 100% correct.
Here's how my doctor told me at my 20 week. I'm 95% sure its a girl. If it were a boy I'd say 99%; because sometimes my little girl predictions turn to little boys later on because some little boys are late bloomers, but if its a little boy it won't go away. So at your 28 week ultrasound (because I had placenta previa) we'll know for sure if my prediction is correct.
She was still a girl and stayed a girl.

I was a couple days over 20 weeks when I got my first scan. My husband and I could tell right away it was a boy, there he was his manliness right there. lol. He had his legs wide open and was doing back flips. I had another scan at 24 weeks and we saw the same thing. So I know it's not a girl!! I'm sure you'll get another ultrasound closer to your due date, but if a technician isn't sure of the sex they usually give you a percentage as to what they think it is. If your techinician got a good look, and your measuring right, then I would say don't worry about it or wait until your next ultrasound. Congrats & Good luck!

I had a ultrasounds done at 18 weeks and it was also 4D. I definitely saw girl parts. It almost looks like 3 lines on the screen. I haven't had the baby yet but I have had 2 girlfriends have baby's in the past month both went to the same place at 18 weeks and were told girls. Both are girls. I'd say it's fairly accurate now a days.
Good Luck

I was 19 weeks and 1 day - regular old ultrasound with the jelly on my stomach - and the picture was crystal clear - two legs and a little penis in between - there was no denying that I was having a little boy
I am surprised that you were told 100% it's a girl - I have always heard that if they think it is a girl they will say they aren't sure because it's much harder to tell
I would still go with gender neutral colors for most things for now :)

Mine was right both times. At 20 weeks it should be pretty obvoius to the ultrasound tech and if she said 100% she's probably right.

I'm newly pregnant with number 2.
With my son, I was around 18-20 weeks when the ultrasound showed he was a boy.
However, if I'm ever told it's a girl, it will be harder for me to start painting the nursery pink. (Only b/c I've heard too many stories.)

Girls part are usually mistaken for a boy's part because the vagina looks really swollen inside the womb. I would say U/S is 95% accurate on telling the gender of your baby.

I had mine done around 21 weeks... the very boastful tech said she was sure it was a girl.
Imagine our suprise when a boy popped out.
