boys typically don't stop growing until they are about 18 or so. My brother was really short until he was 16, then he shot up four inches in one summer, he's almost 6 foot now. Just keep an eye on him, if he hasn't grown at all in about six months from now, have his thyroid checked out, maybe it's just sluggish or slow, also, make sure he's not smoking or lifting heavy weights, both of those things will stunt his growth. I really don't think you have any concerns at this point though. He has several good years of growing to look forward to.

Tell him that he is just beginning to grow! (if he is a typical teenage boy). My son stalled out around that age but he hit a huge growing stage around 16 - 18. Just when we thought it was over, he grew some more around 19 - 20. My 5'4" 13-14 year old ended up being 6'1". Not that your son will or won't but tell him that it's not over yet! (oh... and you might start buying longer pants just to keep up)... LOL

OMG he will get as tall as his genes tell him he will be. If you and your spouse are short he will most likely be short and vis versa, but there are always the cases of the genetic gip and even if you are 7 feet tall he could be 5 foot 4. I f your kid is normal, he will almost certainly grown more, men grow until they are 22 and usually have a huge growth spurt around 16. He has nothing to worry about! People grow at different rates, and they all even out usually, you may grow early like me
(I am 11 and I am 5 7 1/2), or they be a late bloomer. Even if he is only 5 4 all his life, it wouldnt matter! There are little people everywhere (evn though he is around 8 inches above the little person requirements) that lead normal lives! He has nothing to worry about!

Most likely he will keep growing. Most 14 year old girls are through growing, but guys can continue growing up until their early 20's.

Boys grow quite a bit after 14 and keep growing until I think about 19, though girls start to slow down around 15. My brother was under 5'5" until he was about 17 then he shot up and is now 6'2"

You have to wait about 2 years after males start puberty before they hit their growth spurt generally, so tell him he may grow loads more yet! I don't think height's a major issue though, I'm only 4 foot 10 and I'm very happy. It doesn't bother me any more. If anyone else decides to take the mickey, it's their problem not mine or your son's!

I have 5 boys. Doctors have told me that the average boy will not stop growing until they are 25 yrs old. My oldest son didnt hit a growth spirt until almost 16. My 14 yr old is just going through it. You tell him every person is different and he may wake up one morning and be 6' tall. Be patient..it will come! :)

More than likely yes he will grow. My husband grew 4 1/2 inches after he graduated form High School. If you are really concerned contact your doctor. Growth really depend on the parents height and the family history. If you are both short and have relatives that are all short his stature may remain. But more than likely he will grow...

For height and color of the children it came from their genetics. Or maybe soon he will grow up like my brother when he was in highschool he was really small like 5'2 but before he graduated in highschool he was like 5'8 he became very very tall that was a year after he circumsized. He should sleep well and drink water more.

Boys generally grow untill around 23/25 y.o. so please don't be worried about it.
My hubby was a very small boy when he was your son's age and then when he was about 18/20 y.o. he began growing and growing and know he is 1,90 m (don't know how to calculate in inches sorry).
He is very very high.
Take it easy. He will grow!
