Last time i went to the doctor was at 8 weeks. He told me i have a tilted uterus. I am so worried that they won't be able to hear the heartbeat with a dopple today. He tried to hear it with a dopler at 8 weeks but couldn't (said it was too early) but they did a vaginal ultrasound and i saw the baby and heard it that way. Anyone else have a tipped uterus?

I know that this isn't the most mature idea ever, but I don't care. Here's the deal: I'd been babysitting for this family (I've only babysat for them 4 times). I sat for them on T, W, Th last week when the mother left her child home (with someone she didn't even know) when he had a 104 degree temp. I told her on Tuesday that after this next week (the week we're in now) I wouldn't be able to sit for them anymore. This is exactly how I worded it "I hate to do this to you guys but I was offered a (position) at my job so I'll finish this week out and after next week I won't be able to babysit for you guys anymore". I was under the assumption that they would still need me this week. Well anyway, on Thursday (the last time I sat for them) right before I left, the child's fever spiked up to 105.8, and I called to check and see if he was okay on Thursday night and again on Saturday. The mother wouldn't answer her phone. Should I still show up tomorrow to babysit for them ?

I just got a phone call from my doctor's office that my results from my blood test were high and I'm going to have to take the 2nd test for gestational diabetes. I'm scared to death. In case I do have it I was wondering what kind of diet they put you on, so that maybe I could just start now. What should I stay away from and what should I eat more of. Any kind of special exercise? I'm really nervous about this. I didn't have it with my first child. Please give me some advice.

I am expecting at the end of september, and I have been battling with whether I should go back to work or not. I really want to be there for my little one during her most crucial years, however I also need the income. I have decided that it would be great for me to take on another little one while caring for my own. However, I of course want to look like an attractive caretaker to any future families who might want my services. Does anyone have any advice on how I should get started, and what types of certifications I should be seeking out? Has anyone on here done this themselves? This is how my own mother got through the three years after having me and she said it was the best decision she ever made. Thanks for your info!

My girlfriend and I had intercourse the night her period ended... and I was wondering if the risk of getting pregnant is higher right after her period stops. I used a condom but somehow it tore and I am scared out of my mind. I don't regret having sex with her I just don't want a kid yet and I don't want her to deal with it. I guess the only real way to tell will be in a month. huh?

I want to know if there are certain things that happen while your pregnant that indicate the sex of your baby. Like certain cravings, certain ways people feel, or something like weight gain in a specific area. Is there anything that might point ot what the sex of my baby might be. I know it's not fully developed yet, but can I still tell what the baby might be? I have a "motherly feeling" that it might be a girl, but I'm not sure. A lot of people in my family and my friends say that they think that it might be a boy from the way I act. I have early morning sickness which might indicate a girl, but I'm also gaining weight everywhere which might indicate a boy. So if there is any certain or specific things that you know, please help!

We have a doctors appointment today at 3:30 but I just want a few opinions before then..
He has a small knot that looks about the size of a piece of gravel under his skin in the crease of his leg inside of his diaper.
It just poped up last night, it doesnt seam to be causing him any pain YET...
Has anyone else had this or seen this and what was it, my father in law suggest that it may be a small hernia but with my son only being barely one he dosent know if they will be able to do much for it yet... What are some other suggestions, just so I can be prepared for anything the doctor may say later..

I decided I wanted to breastfeed about 5 days after the baby was born, but am afraid I have a low milk supply from waiting. Before I decided to breastfeed, he was drinking 2 1/2 ounces of formula every 3 to 4 hours, and when I pump, I didn't get that much. Now he'll take about 3 to 3 1/2 ouches of formula , and I can only pump about 8 ounces a day. How do I get my milk supply to increase?

I'm 36 weeks. The baby has dropped considerably. Everyday his head is resting against my pelvic bone and it's terribly uncomfortable while sitting, walking, etc. I went through a pyscotic nesting phase yesterday and got EVERYTHING for him done (crib set up, clothes organized, room painted, everything ready for his delivery-Tonight I'm packing his hospital bag and mine too) And I've been getting a LOT of cramping in my lower abdomen that are period-like cramps. I FEEL like I'm ready and I know at his last appointment he weighed 6 pounds or more. Does this mean the birth is coming up soon?

this can't be true, if they think it is, they should let their husband or wife spank them and see if they like it or they feel humiliated. Does anybody that spanks a child think it's ok to hit an adult if you think they need to learn a lesson? Or if you think it's for their own good? If they don't think so , then why do they think it's okay to smack a kid?

Since my husband's family and my own are in 2 different states I travel a lot. My family is further than my husband's, but how safe is it to drive long distance? Would driving for 12 hours, only stopping for gas and restroom breaks too much for the baby?

When my second daughter was 2 months old, I fell from the top of the stairs while carrying her. She was ok, thank God! and thru force of necessity I got thru it... but now, almost 5 years later... I was babysitting for a friend, and tried to take the baby downstairs... but I froze in panic! No matter what I could *not* go down the stairs with the baby in my arms! Not really a big deal there... I had everything I needed for the baby upstairs, but...

I'm pregnant with my third, and there is going to come a time where I am going to *have* to traverse the stairs while carrying my baby... what can I do to get over this fear?

I only panic on stairs if I'm holding a baby...

I am due to start my period in a few days. Yesterday I was cramping like I was going to start very soon then it stopped, and this morning I had a few spots of dark blood in my underwear and when I wiped there was brown (I guess it was blood). I know brown blood means old blood and ive had it before but I dont think ever BEFORE my period, usually after. Could this mean im pregnant or just wishful thinking?
