Oh my, you just never know. People will give you their opinions forever, but the only way you'll know for sure, is when the baby is born. Anyways, I always had the "motherly instinct" and it was correct, so trust yourself. And by the way, an ultrasound can be done at 20 weeks+, by then usually baby's genetalia is developed. Good luck!

None of these will tell you anything. There really is no way to tell, short of ultrasound or amnio. Oh.. they did just come out with a test you can get online that will tell you as early as 7 weeks. It's expensive though, and since it hasn't been fully tested, it isn't proven to be totally accurate.
You can't tell from an ultrasound until between 19-22 weeks. Sometimes a week sooner. The sexual organs aren't developed until then, so even if you had an ultrasound, they wouldn't tell you anyway.
Some woman really do feel what sex their baby is, and hey, you have a 50/50 shot right? I could never tell. I always thought boy, and I have 2 girls with another girl on the way.
There are a lot of old wives tales about how to tell, but they have been proven to be false by science. I know it's hard to wait to find out, but there isn't much option, unless you want to pay the $150+ for the test.

At nine weeks there is no sex to determine yet. According to health.howstuffworks.com, "Sex-organ development is determined by the third month of development." Also, I think the morning sickness, heartburn, fetal heart rate, ideas are all just old wive's tales. When you get your ultrasound in a couple of months, the tech can look for the actual sex organs. I have a boy and a girl, and my pregnancies were about the same with both-- queasy/morning sickness, same kind of weight gain, etc. So, bottom line, I wouldn't rely on how you look or feel to determine what your baby will be.

There are alot of old wives tales but honestly your not going to be able to tell if it is a boy or girl until you have an ultrasound. Another good one is you have to be like 71/2 to 8 mths along and if it is a boy it rides high in the abdomen an a girl sits low but who knows....I wouldn't get hyped thinking it is one or the other because then you might be disappointed. Just be happy you are going to have a baby and that it will be healthy. Enjoy the little one when it comes...Congratulations!

Actually, sexual differentiation hasn't really happened beyond the cellular level at this point, love. Sorry. Wait another couple of months and a sonogram can tell you, though. As a folklorist, I can tell you that there are a million old wive's tales out there, but none of them can really predict the future, you know? Just be patient, as you'll need all the practice you can get with that soon. ::Smiles:: Good luck, dear.

I thought my second child was surely a boy, because he was kicking my insides out, but it was a beautiful girl.
I think the best way to tell the sex of the baby is just after you hear the doctor saying, "PUSH!" LOL.
Best wishes for you and your new baby!

if you have a lot of morning sickness that indicates that it's a girl. also the way you carry later on like how low you are or how high (that's a boy)

All of these things really mean nothing. Everyone is different. Wait until you're far enough along and look at the ultrasound, but even that's not 100% - only at birth will you know for sure :)

My first pregnancy I had no symptoms at all the whole pregnancy-boy. My second pregnancy I was sick the entire time, from week 4 until the day I gave birth-boy.
