Yes, it started for me around week 18 and has only somewhat let up. As the previous poster said, fluids seem to be the answer. I also have found that as soon as that tell-tell sensation starts to immediately lift my leg up and flex my foot flat (as though I were standing). If you do it fast enough, it will prevent the muscle from actually cramping up. If it has already cramped, it relieves the pain much sooner.
I am sorry to say that it they continue, the only good news is that you will be able to tell when it's about to happen much sooner. I now instantly jerk awake and flex my foot as my body seemed to alert me when it's about to happen yet again.

I might name your Doctor. You are most often meant to attend a 12 months earlier than getting pregnant once more due to the fact your frame demands time to heal. It might be that your muscular tissues are sore due to the fact the youngster is developing and you're almost always beginning to exhibit now or can be quickly, so the muscular tissues might be stretching. Take care of your self mommy! Don't be doing to a lot lifting, make certain you're taking time to loosen up and placed your toes up.

I just had this happen to me for the first time this past weekend. It happened in the middle of the night when I rolled over in bed and I attributed it to a lot of standing in hot weather. It's good to know that I'm not the only one!

Leg cramps! Yes they are horrible. Not much you can do about it. I found that stretching before bedtime helped me.

I did...mostly at night. Make sure you stay very well hydrated, and keep stretching. That's really about all you can do. Good luck and hang in there.

I understand! I had those so bad with my first pregnancy that I woke up screaming almost every night. They'll stop, eventually. Ask your doctor if they have any advise.
