We are 2 months pregnant ... he has never done cart wheels about this even though we planned it. He has announced it to EVERYONE, but at times he seems exhausted by it, which makes me feel alone. He seems more irritable, which makes me sad. Is this normal for a first time dad?

I had my girlfriends 14yr old watch my grandson over the weekend. My husband was around however working away from home, her mother was next door as well if she needed anything.

I got home and she had left her dishes in the sink and they really stink. My husband had reminded her to do them, she said she would yet there they are. She did nothing around the house, his room is a mess. She was on the computer when my daughter came over to check and the boy was running around the house and watching toons. It was 80 degrees outside and they should have been outside. The one day they were out playing in the water she let him wear his hiking boots.

When I was her age I babysat. I did the dishes EVEN when they were not mine and I would pick up the house if it need be. I do not think sitting on your butt on the computer wathing TV and the like is enough. I am not sure if I am unreasonable or not and this is what I am asking. If you need more information let me know.

i have had some really sore abdominal pain as well as lower sore joints could this be a problem.
i see the midwife this wednesday i will descuss it with her but could it mean problems when i go into larbour if its not dealt with

I didn't start my period last month, and began having preg symptoms, despite my btl in Jan 05 when I had my second child. So I went ahead and took 4 pregnancy tests like a maniac last week and 1 came back positive. I am going in the morning to my doctor for bloodwork, but would love to make a friend who has experienced or experiencing this wonderful, yet shocking event themselves.

we are ttc and am so confused on the insurance aspect of this. I was just wondering if anyone who has been thru this knows how much this whole process costs them. I know it can cost thousands but what actually does it cost out of pocket. I think our insurance covers 80% after deductible and 100% of medical services, as i work for the hospital. What does this mean? I am so confused. Is this something I should be saving for now even if I am not pregnant yet, is it going to be an outrageous amount of money just to have the baby and do the whole prenatal doctor visits? Help!!

I know a lot of people talk about how women seem to glow when they are pregnant. But I don't seem to fell like I'm "glowing". I've had absolutely NO morning sickness, or anything like that, and I feel great. Only thing is I seem to feel like my hair isn't as soft and my face DEFINATLY isn't glowing, unless you consider an outragous amount of new acne that I've gotten since I've become pregnant. Anyone else feel like this?

My son, now 2 is Lochlin Callum. It means Lake Warrior . When I say his name to people, they look like I am one of those "freaks". Well, I will start to say, I had surgery with him for an incompetent cervix at 12 weeks, 4 shots of steriods and bedrest starting at 20 weeks until 35 weeks where he was a miraculous 6lb14 oz! 8 Mos prior to conception of my beautiful boy, I had lost a boy at 18 weeks at home alone five days after my water broke. I consider Lochlin to be really signicant meaning as he is a fighter, from the womb onwards. What do you think of the name now that you know my story.

Oh and I lived on the lake when I lost Alex and conceived Lochlin and then delivered him.

I would like to shower with my 7-month-old son, I know my sister-in-law did this with her babies. I did it once before, but my hubby was right outside the shower. I would like to be able to do this when he might not be available.
Does anyone do this, and if so, do you have any tips, safety or otherwise? He is so slippery when he is wet and soapy, does anyone have any tried-and-true techniques on showering with their baby?

I am on Yasmin but I missed some doses in the last month and had to play catch up on a few days. I have had unprotected sex and my last period was about two of weeks. In the last week or so, my breasts have been really tender and enlarged. They feel really heavy and I have increased about a cup size. I have also had some minor cramping in my lower abdomen.

He dresses in black all the time, reads and often quotes the bible and has posters of serial killers on his walls. He does not have a girlfriend and often talks of women in the most derogotory manner saying that he will not sully himself talking to the whores of babylon and often says that he will be the arms of God and will smite the unholy. He has now chosen a strict diet and will not eat most things as he says they are unclean and he will not wear the clothes that we buy him as he says that he will not wear clothes that are of a mixed thread and will wear only black cotton t-shirts. He is driving his mother and I up the wall. Is it a phase he is going through and should we ignore it ?

one day late in my life. 90% of time exactly 28 days.. I have had a couple minutes of cramping mild on the day I should have started. I have taking a home pregnancy test today and it said negative. I feel tired andhave tingling breasts and heartburn and acid reflux like crazy. My husband and I are trying for a baby so I am hopefull but not sure. I had a laproscopy four months ago. Maybe it helped if I am that is. :)
