Do you think abortion questions belong in this section? I mean I understand that it has to do with being pregnant, but shouldn't it be in another section, or maybe they can have an abortion category. Most us us in this section or either pregnant, trying to get pregnant or have given birth and it's sad when you are trying to get pregnant, especially if you have been trying for a long time, and have to read about all those who are trying to get rid of theirs. Regardless of your view on abortion, I feel people have a right to ask their questions regarding it, but I just don't think this is the appropriate section. What are your thought on this?

I don't understand why pregnancy women take castor oil if they are really close to birth due?.. i mean why can't they just wait until the baby is all ready?

If the person was not aware they had become pregnant and continued taking birth control pills, does this pose any health risks?

I know the BCP package says stop taking the pills if you do become pregnant, but I can't find any information whether that could cause problems or not.

What are the chances (statistically) of getting pregnant if you have sex while ovulating? I have been off the pill since Feb and still nothing. I know I have ovulated the past few months, cause I have felt it. I guess I should be patient, but i recently lost a baby and am anxious to have another. I have figured out that my cycle is only 24 days and not 28...maybe more regular now..

my 8 year old DD Kari has summer school for the next 3 weeks from 8am to 11 am, and my 9 year old DD Cassie does not, the school is 6 blocks away, to go there, drop her off and come home takes 10 to 15 minutes, I do not drive so my mom is taking Kari to and from school, she will be gone Wensday and Thursday so my cousin will be bringing her in and back those days, my mom said I should go with Wensday morning to show him where to drop Kari off, I hate to have to wake Cassie up that early just for a 10 minute ride, is she old enough to stay home for that short time?

My mom has been putting off me getting a car since forever. I'm seventeen years old and about to go into my senior year, I thought I'd have a car by now; since she kept telling me I would. Katrina hit and now she doesn't have enough money. I'm working a job this summer, but it won't be enough, so I asked her could I get a weekend job, but then she starts pulling up all this **** about me not being able to handle it and not being mature enough. She said that working two jobs would ruin my grades. The story always changes. I even told her I would pay for the car (fully no car notes), insurance, and gas. None of my friends have to do that. Most parents would be ecstatic, they'd definetly let me get the frickin job. I play sports and am very active in my school and social life. I have a 3.1 GPA. I even got in the National Honor Society. The only reason I have a car is because I mooch rides from everyone. What else can I do to get a car?I tried everything, please I'm open to any legal ideas

So I've only been nursing for 5 days and so far everything is going well. Sometimes by baby only "empties" one breast and doesn't want the other one even when I try and offer it to him. Other times he takes it and "empties" it as well. Anyway I want to know that when he only takes one side, should I pump the other side or just offer that one first at the next feeding. What I've been doing is pumping it if he doesn't want it but should I be? The reason I pump it is because of engorgement and well I was afraid that if I didn't get rid of it from one side it can mess up my milk production from that one side. Sorry I'm just new at the breastfeeding thing. I wasn't able to breastfeed my daughter so this is new to me!!!

My friend is due to have her first baby in about a month. I would like to take her dinner one of the nights after she gets out of the hospital. The problem is, I don't know what to make! She won't tell me anything she specifically wants. She isn't that much of a cook herself, so I know she would appreciate anything. The only things I can think of are lasagne and spaghetti. Never had a baby myself, so I don't know if some foods are off limits for a while after childbirth? What is a good meal that somebody brought you or one that you have made for somebody else? Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Do you take the start time AND the length of time that it lasts?

-SO if it is real, then they are exactly the same (like 6 mintues from one start time to another?)
-And then they also last the same amount of time (like 2 mintues each exactly)?

tyring to figure this out as my cramps are increasing in pain in the last 18 hours.. but no pattern that is EXACT yet...

go up and check on the baby? What about your own house ... would you leave your baby sleeping in your house and go two houses down to hang out and hang out with another couple? If no, would you do it with a baby monitor?

Just wondering because I know people who do just this type of thing on a regular basis, and I think it's asking for trouble. Even with a monitor, how would you protect your child if someone broke in, or if the house caught fire, or if your child had a medical emergency? The whole McCann thing is a huge example of this.

I'm interested in other people's opinions.

I have had several miscarriages in the last 5 y., I'm in my late 20's, what should I have myself checked for? I have been checked for mostly (all) gyn diseases, so thats not it? Could it be hormones? Also, the cramps are starting to move beyond discomfort and into hurting and mild pain. Been alot in the last 18 hours... do these Braxton Hicks increase and just get more painful until it is the real thing? Is the naseua normal?
