You're not likely to find many medical people offering advice on an open forum like this but the answers given have given you somethings to look into.
I'm 34 and finally going to have my first baby in August. I have had so many miscarriages, most not needing any intervention but 5 that had me see a doctor or go to the hospital.
I have a combination of reasons why staying pregnant was so hard for me. Hormone imbalance due to my whacked out thyroid that likes to bounce from over active to under active without warning (so no meds for me because if it switched while on meds for one state it could kill me). A low grade infection that was never diagnosed or treated until they did some kind of special culture. Also a scarred uterus from the previous miscarriages (mostly the first one that I should have gotten treatment for but didn't because I was 16 and terrified which is probably how long I had the infection for!) that left me with as far as the doctors could tell from the scans no viable place for the placenta to attach.
Diet and lifestyle played a huge role in my 20's for not having healthy pregnancies as well. I also lived a high stress life style which is not conducive. In the last 6 years though I have gone through a major lifestyle change, had the infection treated, learned alternative ways to help stabilize my thyroid through diet, exersize and stress reduction. Married a great guy who knew that we may never have kids and just stopped worrying about it.
Now my miracle baby is currently kicking at me making it hard to type! Go back to the doctor, go see a specialist, have them run all the tests they can think of. Treat what is treatable and then relax and enjoy the practise sessions!

No real medical professional would or should give out medical advice on Yahoo. But I'm 24 I have had a full-term still born(cord knot) last March followed by 3 misscarges. I have been preg. 5 times in a 12 month period. I am 15 weeks preg. now. I also was tested along with tissues from the m/c's I have had and gentic testing, MRI, hystrorscopy (scope insterted through the cervix into the uterus) all my tests came back neg. I went to a fertility doc. they tested my thryrod and my blood sugar. My blood sugar was very high and I was dianosed with type 2 diabites and PCOS both of which I had no symptoms for and not even my OB or PCP thought to test me for these condtions. Like i said I'm 24 not over wieight by a long shoot so they didn't even think to send me to a fertility doc. anyway I got treatment for my diabetes took a pill (clomid) to reg. my ovulation women with PCOS, thryoid and high blood sugar often don't produce mature enough eggs and when they are released and get fertilied they don't develope properly thus leading to misscarige. So a lot of time if they can correct those small problems they can then help you get preg. and managing those conditions with meds, they can help to carry. I still take meds for my blood sugar and the baby is growing fine! So hang in there if they find there is nothing wrong maybe you can have IUI done ( I had that with this preg. too). Also the health of one pregnancy does not effect the health of another so your not doomed!! Good luck I hope you find what works best for you. And hang in there it will happen!

Have your hormones checked, and also your cervix. Some women have a condition called an "incompetent cervix", where it begins to dilate too soon. If that's the case, the OBGYN can do what is called a "purse-string suture", or cerclage, to keep the cervix closed until you reach term. The cerclage may or may not be removed, depending on the type of procedure. You may also have to deliver by C-section if a permanent cerclage is used, but C-sections are very common nowadays.
You may also have your doctor check the condition and positioning of your uterus. You could have a congenital abnormality that makes it hard to sustain pregnancy. You might also have your other, non-sexual hormones such as thyroid checked out. A good physical exam and OBGYN check sound in order.
Good luck!

I am not medical staff, but I just wanted to know if you had looked into something fairly new called "NaPro Technology."
Also, these are possible causes of repeat miscarriages:
1. Prior abortions
2. Long-term use of hormonal birth control
3. Uterine abnormalities
4. Structural problems involving the uterus or cervix (such as an incompetent cervix)
5. Luteal phase defects (this can be treated easily by diet and supplements)
6. Diabetes
7. Thyroid disease (if it's not treated promptly)
8. Hormonal imbalance
Please don't despair. I have several friends who after repeated miscarriages carried a child to term. You might look into adoption just in case, though.
God bless, and I'm so sorry for the loss of your little ones.

if you have had several miscarriages, you could have problems with your hormones, and you are not able to keep your levels high enough to carry a pregnancy. Also, you may have an incompetent cervix. I would see another ob-gyn or a fertility specialist, and be checked again. There are many things they can do. Just don't give up.

I don't know what to say on this one. First off let me say I'm so sorry for your losses. I can only imagine just how hard it must be. We have a close friend who went through 4 miscarriages in 4 years. But now here they are expecting a baby in less than two weeks. Her mother had problems conceiving but they had two totally different conditions. Have you seen fertility specialists? Without knowing the specifics of you miscarriages I couldn't say but even if I did know i might not be able to help. I wish you lots of luck

I'm not a doctor, but my mom had the same problem. She was told by her doctor that she would never have children. She started drinking high protein orange juice, and wa la, my sister and I were born. After that, she stopped drinking the juice. She had 6 miscarriages. Started drinking the juice again, and I now have 3 little sisters. Seriously, try it.

It could be your blood type. I have rh- blood.(b-) If I were to get pregnant and not get a globulin shot at certain times in my pregnancy and my child has a different blood type as me I have a high risk of miscarriage.
I would ask your doctor what type of blood you have. If it is a negative blood type(a-,b-,a b-, o-) you have rh- blood. If your spouse has and opposite blood type you could be at a higher risk.
Everyone is different and it could be a number of things and I wish you the best at finding the answer.
