Well, they will do a urine to confirm you are pregnant. They will weigh you, and take a blood pressure. The doctor will do a pap smear and an internal exam. You will also have a whole lot of blood work to do. You will be given an estimated due date based on your last menstrual period. Finally, they may schedule an ultrasound to be done in the next few weeks as well, so they can confirm the baby's heartbeat. It's alot to have done, but it's kind of exciting too. Don't be nervous, it's nice to have it "official" from the docs.

You can take an at home test, you just pee on a stick.
---But the doc test are better. Most doctors will just have you pee in a cup and give you the results while you wait. In some cases the pregnancy does not show up in urine and they will take a blood test.
**If you are young and worried about your parents finding out you can always go to planned parenthood. Its free for the test and they do not take any private information. Also, if you are pregnant they will give you information about what you can do. (abortion, adoption, and information about doctors and hospitals)

The first doctor visit is a long one with many steps. You will have blood drawn, a pap smear, a complete family history - including previous pregnancy history, weight taken, stomach measured... they will feel around to see the size of your uterus.... you will discuss when you think you got pregnant to figure out an estimate due date... answer any questions that you have.... did i forget anything? i'm sure i did.
good luck... congrats

The first visit is usually a lot like a physical but after that they are pretty much just making sure you don't have any issues or questions, oh and you get to hear the baby's heart beat. It is not bad at all. Right now an average dr appt is about 10 min for me.

Your first visit they'll take some blood and send it for tests, plus they'll ask for a urine sample to test it. They'll do an internal exam, and a Pap smear. They may or may not do an ultrasound, depending on the doctor.

vitals such as blood pressure, temps, pulse rate. Pelvic exams, not consistent with a pap, but general vaginal examination. Ultrasounds to see if baby is healthy or to tell the sex of the child. Lab such as drawing blood where numerous test are run. Breast examination. Amniocentesis, where they may take amniotic fluid via needle directly from the womb and run test. consult with your physician and he/she should be able to explain what procedures are required during your pregnancy. Hope I Helped!

The first time? They give you a pregnancy test. I was so far along when I went the first time that they did an ultrasound (not the belly kind, when you are in the first trimester they have to stick a prob up in you to get the picture). Take your significant other with you, it helps to have someone to talk to and he will asks questions you never thought of.

They do the same thing they would on a regular pap smear (sometimes). They make you pee in a cup (every visit), weigh you, feel for your uterus, measure your stomach and the mostly talk to you about things at home, diet, pregnancy symtoms, what to expect, etc....Sometimes they do an internal exam that first visit, but not always.

They firstly take a urine sample, test your blood pressure, weigh you, and check your tummy. You will need to get blood samples taken at about 12 weeks. Every time you go for a check up, they will weigh you, check the blood pressure and examine your tummy! Start takin Folic acid!!

Depends on which time.
Normally, they measure your belly, listen to the baby's heart, and you pee in a cup.
But on top of that at various times, you have to give fully medical history (in the beginning), many times they'll do a preliminary US (to make sure baby is there), gestational diabetes screen, amnio (for older women, unless they elect not to), blood tests, etc.
