I have been having braxton hicks for two weeks and have been dialated at 2 cm for that long alos. I am 39 weeks today and am ready for real contractions to start. Doctor says that walking may help bring baby lower into the pelvis to put pressure on the cervix to dialate. He also said it doesnt work for everyone. I was wondering if anyone has had success with walking or have any ideas to help along baby. Doc says baby is ready but my body isnt responding. I've heard of using an exercise ball but don't have one.

I have tried putting the diaper on backwards and she still gets it off. I can't put her sleepers on backwards because they have feet on them so it wouldn't fit. No matter how we dress her she always takes off all her clothes and her diaper.

My seven week old has been falling asleep between 12-1am every night since she was born. I cannot get her down any earlier even if I try to wake her up earlier or limit naps. Any suggestions?

Ok this might sound like a stupid question, but there's this concert going on tonight called the Bob Marley Fest. Some of my favorite reggae artists are gonna be there, as well as Ms. Lauryn Hill herself. The thing is, I'm 39 wks pregnant with a cold! Hahaha.. i know.. stupid for even asking.. but my bf's cousin can get us in for FREE if we just give him the word. They said they can put me in a "special place" where I can see the performances and be comfortable. I really wanted to go last year, but I had to work and couldn't request off. I REALLY wanna go!!!! But i dunno... I was able to go to a UFC Fight back in November last year and that was all good! So what do you guys think?

My seven week old only seems to want to eat on one breast in one sitting and then wants to eat again within the next hour to hour and a half. The only way I can get her to eat more and keep her sastified longer is to pump and give her milk through the bottle. Should I just keep on pumping and feeding her that way. I've tried everything, like burping and then offering her the other side or taking her off the breast early and trying to put her on the other side and she still refuses. She'll only eat for 5-7 minutes! Help!

I am scheduled to have a c-section on Wednesday and I would really love to give birth naturally instead - as I have had experience on c-section and natural with my two prior kids - I am only 2cm dialated, the baby has not dropped "at all" AND the doctor just told me that my cervix is VERY thick - therefore, she really doubts that I will be able to go into labor on my own.

Additionally, I cannot be induced as no doctor will risk inducing me because I had a prior c-section and it can open up. Therefore, I have no choice but to have the c-section but like I said previoulsy I would much rather go naturally if I could; the healing process is easier, no stitches when one goes natural -

I have heard about nipple stimulation with a breast pump - any personal experiences and what was the outcome.. Thank you...

Would it be wise to try and give a 2 month old a bed time? He usually falls asleep around 9 and then wants to eat at midnight. Would it be a good idea to put him down alone after the feeding he has around 9? I want to get him on some sort of bed routine since he has made himself a feeding routine quite easily.

3 1/2 old does not want to drink milk?
i feed my baby expressed breast milk in a bottle from the beginning since he had latching problem. He has never had formula.

Since the last 3 days he is refusing to drink his milk. The minute I bring the bottle near his mouth, he starts crying and does not it at all. Then after crying for sometime, he finally takes it after being tired and sleepy.
I am very worried as to what is happening. This is happening with every feed.
Also since yesterday, his seedy poop is little pasty with no seeds and very bad odor. what could be wrong?
Please advice.

I have heard that running and doing hard core cardio work outs somehow makes your breast milk unappealing or causes your baby to be cranky. My baby is 7 weeks and I did a hard core cardio work out yesterday and she has been extremely cranky and won't sleep for more than 20 minutes. Has this happened to anyone? Why? Any advice?

Ever since she was a few weeks ld, my daughter began making very strange, repititiouse foot and hand motions. She does it almost constantly but esspeccially when she is intently focused or mad about something. She is a very smart baby and WAY ahead of her time...I want to think she is just extremely developed and cant wait to be fully self sufficient but it bothhers me because no one elses baby does this. P.s. the foot movements are like she is stretching her ankles, rlling her foot around and around and pointing her toes. Her hands just open and then grip close and she wiggles her fingers repeatedly. Is this normal?

my son's mother doesn't want to accept the fact that i don't want to be with her, but i still want to have my son a round. If she leaves, she's going back to texas and we're in NC. right now, so I'll never get to see my son again because she won't leave him here with me. I am a full time student and i also have a job, and my parents, have already said that they would help me if i could keep him.

I find it very insulting for people to say "Stay At Home Mom's or Dad's do not work". I work all hours of the day there is no start or end to my shift. Before I was a Mother and worked in the Biotech Industry my day started and ended. Having said this I find it insulting to hear stay at home mom's do not work. How about other Stay At Home Parents??

Well my brother & his wife had a baby boy on Superbowl Sunday (2/4). I went to visit the baby the day he was born but I didn't want to hold him because I don't like holding a baby who's still in the hospital for some reason. I decided t wait until this weekend to see him because I don't work. But my aunt told me that when she went to there townhome, there was a sign on the door that said, "Visitors may look at Ethan, but can't hold him" what the hell? So now my mom's upset even though she was able to hold the baby but she says they're taking it overboard. I understand them not wanting the baby to be held by strangers but family? And I'm not waiting until he's 2 months old (after he gets his shots) to hold my nephew! Any mothers ever treated their newborn like this or has anyone ever gone through this? How do I handle this? Should I just respect their wishes and forget I have a nephew for 2 months or what?

Even at the hospital my little one had problems latching-on. Instead of seeing what she was doing wrong and helping her to latch-on the lactation consultant just pushed her to the breast and after crying and struggling for 10 minutes she managed to do it. She was continuing to suck improperly home but because I had allot of milk no one noticed. When the milk started to diminish, due to lack of demand, she started losing weight and we called a lactation consultant who could not see anything wrong. Because she was struggling so much to get milk out at 8 weeks she started to refuse the breast, we tried the bottle but she had a hard time getting used to it. Now at 3.5 month she is on the bottle but eats only when she is halfway asleep. If she is awake and I try to feed her she pushed the bottle away and screams at it. Each feeding attempt is a big struggle and it takes us about 1hour to manage 4oz. We can’t go anywhere out because of it. Our ped said that she is bored when eating that’s why she eats when sleeping. I don’t think that that’s the reason, if she was bored she would eat when she is extremely hungry but the same thing happens even if she has not eaten for awhile. Is there any one who went through the same thing? That was wrong? How did you change it? Any ideas or advice?
