not necessarily.
it's just that any female of menstruating age is capable of getting pregnant.

use of protection or lack of it, over all health, activity level, and stress levels can impact whether or not you become pregnant.
every pregnancy is different whether your 18 or 38. i think it just seems easier because younger women are a bit more careless about their sexual practices, due to this ridiculous "abstinence only" policy in schools and the general community as a whole.

also NEW studies have shown that the "over 30" scare is outdated. they are now saying that more and more women over 30 are having healthy babies, and birth defects are down. although still monitored more closely after 35, these women are in the best technological age for an "older" pregnancy than ever before. the attitude among doctors about age and pregnancy are changing! too bad the public still views women 30 to 35 as still 'too old' to have kids.
there are actually MORE women over 30 having children than any other age group at the moment.

There are a lot of things that determine how easily you fall pregnant. Some people appear to be far more fertile than others. Some, if they have been on the pill for a few years, take a few months or even more to conceive after they have gone off the controceptive.
Age can play a factor, but usually in the sense that it gets harder to fall pregnant after the age of about 33 - still everyone is different and becasue of that, age will not play a part for some people.
My advice is that if you are not ready to have a child, use more than one form of protection just to be sure... and if you are, talk to your doctor first and they can check you out to make sure you can fall pregnant safely and easily.

It is true to an extent that it is easier to get pregnant when you are younger. An 18 year old would have an easier time than a 45 year old lady in general. It all depends on the individual woman too and how her body works.

Every one is different. Yes i feel Pregnant at a young age (15) and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Im only 21 and have had 3 babies, my second i had just after i turned 19 and the other 9wks ago. Our last daughter was planned but my other two children were'nt.
We later found out that my body rejected birth control!! Ive now had my tubes tied. You have to be careful no matter your age if you dont want a child. It can happen to anyone.
I think that there is alot of young teenage pregnancy because the girls seem not to care and think its not going to happen to them but in reality it can!!
Use protection ALWAYS even if your on birth control use condoms too. Its extra protection and protects you againts STDs.

u r born with all the eggs already inside of u unlike men. they can shoot out sperm all their lives. so as u get older the less eggs u have and the more difficult also the more dangerous. perosonally i wouldnt get pregnant at an old age for the child i wouldnt want that child to not have a parent when they were 20

Absolutely. Think about it: it's evolutionary nature...young females are at their most fertile, meaning, they have the most and the healthiest eggs.

As you age, especially after 30, you lose your eggs rapidly (we are only born with a certain number of eggs, and when they are gone, they are gone forever),
also, the eggs start to age and deteriorate as well,
this is why women over 35 are at higher risk of their fetus having birth defects, mental retardation and other problems,
so a amniocentisis is many times performed.

There is a 'window' in fertility which suggests that women who are in the age range of 16-30 have a much easier time getting pregnant. Howeve, the real factors that affect your fertility are: 1)the regularity of your cycle, 2)whether you are ovulating and c)the compatibility of the egg and sperm.

time for alittle sex ed?
A woman is capable and ready to get pregnant at any time from the age of 9 to the age of 50 and over. Yes there are times when she will be more fertile and likely to get pregnant than others, but that's the bottom line... and Oh - there is NO SUCH THING AS SAFE SEX. Don't let anyone tell you any different.
The fact is, a younger woman will probably have sex more frequently than an older woman, so that in and of itself increases her chances of becoming pregnant.

Generally true. Certainly easier at 18 than, say, 38. But every woman is different, lots of factors at work besides age.
