My daughter is 15 1/2 and, based on what I see and hear, I feel pretty strongly that she and her bf are on the brink of having sex. She says they are just fooling around. I am not being judgemental but I am not an idiot (neither is she) and we both agree that getting pregnant is not an option at this time in her young life. I have made an appointment for her to have her first gyno exam and discuss birth control options. We have a pretty good relationship, but she doesn't seem to want to discuss this issue. I want her to understand my concerns and actions are based on my love for her. What can I say (or not say) to her to let her know that this upcoming appointment is not a "punishment" or that it has nothing to do with the trust I have in her? I would also appreciate any feedback from other moms in a similar situation, that being that my ex and I have shared custody, and he's not on board with this appointment idea, as he has blinders on about his "little girl". Common sense? NOT.

i work at a daycare a child that i take care of has this thing that he started doing. when you try to disapline hiom for not playing nice or doing something wrong he starts screaming and the will get down on his hands and knees and start banging his head on the floor or banging it on anything he can find like the wall he will do this until he gets tired and he just gets mad when you get near him and he will do it harder. his brother has a mental illness and he doesn't go to the daycare but the little boy is only little over a year old what should i do? i am kind of a fraid of what he might do to hurt himself or the other children. when he gets like this we have to take him in the other room. is there anythig else i can do to help him??

I'm not talking about loosing your mucus plug, water breaking, contractions, or nesting. I am looking for more subtle signs that I may be going into labor soon. For example; I noticed the other day that my breasts have started leaking a clear fluid (colostrum maybe ?). Is this a sign I will go into labor soon? I still have four weeks until my due date, but I just want to know some of the other signs of labor nearing. Thanks so much!
P.S. I go to the doctor every two weeks, so I know I can just ask her. I would like to have other women's input on this. Yes, I have the pregnant woman's bible ... What to Expect When Expecting. Thanks.

I have a friend who wants a baby so bad. She is tricking her boyfriend into getting her pregnant. He already has a 7 year old son and he doesn't want anymore. She told him that she is getting the Depo shot for birth control. And with the depo shot...it is "almost" 100% effective. She told him that there was NO way that she could get pregnant on this shot. So, now they are using no protection. This is wrong..I love my friend, but she is being really unfair her boyfriend. Should I say something...or keep quite?

I have a boyfriend for a long time already.
He has met my family and everything.
He has been there for everything!
I can say I love him.
But what about the next step.
We have talked about sex.
But I feel that I am to young.
But then I feel that we should.
I have urges to have sex to.
Bu what should I do wait.
Or let things happen.
We have done everything besides Sex. tooo.
But What NOW?

I'm almost seven months pregnant and have been going on job interviews like crazy. Everytime I go out I dress up very professional and also I'm covering up a small belly. Should I inform employers about my situation?
I really need a job and I'm afraid if I tell them that I'm almost seven months pregnant, that will be grounds not to hire me. What do I do?

I recently got finished school and obtained my degree to be an RDA ( Registered Dental Assistant ) Now that I'm finished with school, and trying to find a job, I find out that I am Pregnant. I was wondering if anyone has been in this situation and how they addressed it at an interview? I feel it is misleading to not inform an employer, but I am also in desprite need of putting my hard earned education to good use. Do I neglect to mention it at an intervew and pretend I might have found out after I was hired?? I'm afraid people will think of my being pregnant as a condition that will interfere with my ability to preform a job the same as Id be able to if I werent having a baby. Also, if I am hired, and do inform an employer of my pregnancy, how do I address maternity leave? What is an acceptable amount of time to take a LOA from work? Thank you so much for any advice.....

Why is that every time I come on here, there is always a question about how do I get my child to sleep all night? I know we as humans need sleep, and once baby comes we can't wait for the day to come when they do sleep all night but doesn't anyone know that all babies are different, and they wake for a reason, whether they are hungry, startled, upset, or whatever. I have a 5 month old, and I loved the quiet time with her at night feeding her, it was a form of bonding, and even now that shes sleeping most of the night, I still enjoy her waking me up at 3am, and of course she doesn't want anything, just her soother. But I mean we all knew before getting pregnant that we would be up at night with your bundle of joy, so why do so many people want to rush their babies and get them to sleep all night. Now don't get me wrong, I love my sleep as well but we as parents are responsible for our child, so why is it people want their kid sleeping all night, just because we are deprived of sleep

My 5 month will only stay asleep for the entire night in my arms. The initial attempt to put him in his crib around 10pm works out fine but he's awake about an hour later.
So, I then rock him and he falls asleep easily, however the minute I put him in his crib he wakes up. After a few attemps, I give up and bring him to bed with me..

Another thing that I'm having a hard time with is that when he's in his crib I still can't sleep. I keep worrying that he'll suffocate under his blankets, or somehow the cats will pry open the door and decide to cuddle with him.

So I kind of have to "wean" myself from him too.
Because I can't sleep without him. But I also know that he needs to be independent and sleep in his crib.

Another thing is is that he only falls asleeps with motion.. I always have to rock or nurse him to sleep. How can I get him to just fall asleep? Is he too young still?
