Anyone else have this problem? My travel system car seat doesn't fit onto a shopping cart. Are there any products I can purchase so I can go to the store with my 8 week old?

I am 36 weeks now and my doctor gave me the "okay". I was told if I go into labor now it wouldn't be stopped. I had early diliation and have been on bedrest since almost 34 weeks. But now that I know that I can go into labor and it's almost time, I am starting to get nervous again. I have already experienced it I know what to expect, anyone else feeling this way?

at what age do you think kids can go into a town shopping on their own? i have a son nearly 11, he asked but i said no... but in september he will be going to high school on a bus himself, so when do i start giving him a little independence. I suggested taking him and a friend to leisure centre for an hour and picking them up , then maybe in a few months into town with an adult nearby and finally on his own ,but how long should this processs take?

the town is is quite small..not a busy city or anything

ive been doing some reading on a more natural birth control method-im a total hippy and birth control is terrible for you! i heard that wild yam has been used since way back in the day for a contraceptive. My question is, has anyone ever used wild yam as a birth control with success, or is anyone on it right now and are having success? I really want to do the wild yam thing.

My best friend just called and said her 6 month old son might possibly have measles. They were at Disney World last week and that is where his doctor feels he caught them. She is distraught and has been reading up on the subject and wanted to know the diiference between the two.

I try to feed my daughter healthy foods and snacks. I also give her a lot of water to drink.

I ALWAYS have people saying things like, "Give her some cookies" or "Give her a Coke" or people always saying that I deprive her of all the good stuff.

She actually likes water and she loves fruit, so why give her junk if she likes eating the healthy foods.

Why do some people think its so WRONG not to give small children soft drinks and suckers and junk food all the time.

I'm just curious what other parents think.

In June we will be vacationing in the OuterBanks. It will take us 14 hours to get there. We will be making this trip in one day. I have a an 11-year old daughter, a 2 year-old son, and a 1-year old son. I am looking for any suggestions on how to make the trip go as "cry-free" as possible! Also, does anyone know of where I can purchase some items for the car such as a head rest (for when the kids are sleeping) or possibly a tray for the car seat? Thanks!

Just took my dogs out for their nightly constitutional , we have huge bushes next to the pathway and i knew their were kids hiding in there. Anyway, on my way back i had to pass the same bush and my Alsatian had a wee on the bush, you just saw kids scatter. I could not stop him if i tried, but i do think it was funny. They were being naughty , messing around with cars.

I cannot seem to find Elmo birthday invitation cards...either the kind that I can submit a digital pic of my daughter and they will put an Elmo background OR a regular paper card that I can stick a photo in on the front? Thanks so much! (I have checked Ebay as well).

I am on birthcontrol presently and I am ready for a change, I don't want kids I just mean a change in pill back in january of 06 I lost 50 lbs and then I got on birthcontrol and It seemed to go down hill, I have only gained back 10 lobs ( i know "Only") it makes my appitie greater and makes me not so fun ( I feel bad for my husband) I just feel helpless cause I would rather gain 10 lbs then have a baby right now! I am on Ortho Tri Cyclen very high dose and I want to try a diffrent kind of Oral Contraceptive no shots no patch seen to many side affects in friends...What do you suggest?

Hello All! I am 5 weeks pregnant and my Doc dosen't want to see me until I am 8 weeks along. my fiance and i started trying to get pregnant probably about a month ago. about 2 weeks after we started trying i started my period which was about a week and a half earlier than usual. but my fiance said he has noticed ive been very moody. and everything i eat and drink tastes weird to me. I am having my first ultrasound in a few days, i would be 4.5 weeks when i get it. What should I expect to see? A sac? Or a sac and a tiny tiny baby in it? I am very anxious cause I had two miscarriages ( 6 weeks no heartbeat and 4 weeks) so far. By the way, my doctor prescribed Asprin and Progesterone to help the placenta. I hope it works this time.

My baby is now 6 weeks old and I started my first period. I am bleeding way to much I think. I am wearing 2 heavy duty pads and an hour and a half later it is soaked through to my underwear. When I gave birth to my baby, there was a hemmorage scare that I had put the nurses through. I do have clots but not very big. Should I be concerned? Is this normal? Any opinions or advise would be helpfull. Thank You.

My question is only for women who have had natural child birth by choice. I am planning on having natural child birth (except for numbing medicine for the crowning) and I was wondering if the pain is this complete horror that everyone says it is. I am VERY determined to make it through naturally and I need some positive feed back. All of my friends which have had Epidurals say that I'm not going to be able to do it naturally and it is very discouraging. Is the pain that bad if you are planning on natural child birth from the start? Is the pain so bad you could not find anyway to get through it?

My girlfriend of one year has a one bedroom apartment, and she shares her bedroom with her four year old daughter. There are two beds in the bedroom: her daughter sleeps in one bed and she sleeps in the other. Now, lately, I have been spending the night a lot at my girlfriends house lately. I sleep either in my girlfriend's bed, or on the floor. My girlfriend only has a twin bed, so sometimes, it's hard to share a bed with her. Let me just say that there is no hanky panky going on when her daughter is present. My girlfriend and I just sleep together CLOTHED. If the father finds out about me sleeping in the same room as his daughter, can I or my girlfriend get into trouble. I would never want to jeopardize the custody she has with her child. I have met the father a couple of times and he is an okay guy. He knows that I slept over one time when my girlfriend was extremely sick, and he didn't mind. I also don't want to confuse the 4 year old.
