How much milk does your newborn drink and how often? Does anyone use the Nestle Goodstart Concentrate liquid formula with Iron? If so, How good is the unused milk left in the bottle after a feeding? Thanks

My baby is 6 weeks old, he is drinking 5 ounces every 4 hours, of Similac advance with iron. The Nestle Goodstart formula is really great. I would be using that to, but it's very hard to get around here. I used it on my other 2 children. The unused milk after the feeding is good for an hour after feeding. Congrats on the new baby.

Every baby is different. My daughter is three months old and only drinks four ounces every three to four hours. But she's healthy and gaining weight regularly so it's ok for her. Don't let anyone tell you what your baby is "supposed to be" eating. Your baby will eat how much she needs and when she needs it.

You really shouldn't let your baby drink the unused milk left in the bottle after feeding.

Im not a mother but I can tell you what we do. Emma feeds about every 2-3hours. The milk would probly keep for awhile but I would not go longer than a day or so.

just My 2cents!

this will differ according to the child and the formular used. my son uses sma gold- new born- 1scoops to 2oz of water, 4 oz/ feed, 8 feed/ day.

do not use any milk more than 2-3 hrs. remember that milk sours quickly depending on heat, moisture in the air, etc. better be safe than sorry.
