Pregnancy & Parenting - 25 January 2007

from peeking on my monitor today on day 16 and last month day 20. Any way I am 23 and my husband is 26. We are healthy and fertile. This is our third month of trying. We had sex this month on days 6,8,10,12,15, and we will be having sex tonight which is peek night. We also will bed day 17,18 and 20. What are my chances of getting pregant this month?

My son is 1 year old and he has to have his tonsilis out next week. What would you suggest to feed him after his surgery? I am so scared and freaking out. They say they usually don't taken them out this young but he has had so much tonsilits in the last month, and the meds won't help. ....freaking out mom

My husband just annonced that he wants our 4 1/2 year old son to be there for the birth of his sibling and to help cut the cord. I'm not so sure of this idea. Our son is quite interested in all of this baby stuff, but he has a short attention span and tends to get into trouble if bored. He is also quite empathetic and when he sees me in pain, he gets upset.

If we do this, then I think my mother will also have to be there to take care of him so that my husband can be there for me.

It is a hospital birth, so I will still have to clear it with my dr and the hospital.

What does everyone think???

my daughter is 8 1/2 mons. old and I'm trying to let her put her own self to sleep in her crib when i do she cry's for at least a half and hour and it hurts me to let her cry so I put her on my bed and let her fall asleep there with me but I know it's not a good thing to do because I know she is spoiled already and i don't want that. to keep up Just woundering how long can you let a baby cry themselves to sleep or what is a good thing to do? She don't take a pacifer and I don't put her down with a bottle either.

My daughter is seven months old and has been eating solid foods since 5 1/2 months without any problems until recently. She's not taking as much food as she used to and about twice daily she will vomit everything she has ate. I know this sounds weird but if the food is the color orange, I noticed she eats it more readily and doesn't vomit it back up usually. I've stopped giving her bottles right after feeding her solids but even if I wait an hour or so to give her one she still throws it up. When she was first born she had reflux but that cleared up by 2 months, can it reoccur? Am I do something wrong? Is it the way I schedule the feedings? I try to get her to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner but if she throws it all up how will she get any nutrition. She's still gaining weight and she is not lethargic as a result of all this, she still has the energy that a seven month old should have. I am planning on taking her to the doctor. Anyone else dealt with the same problem?

i had a medical abortion about a month ago. now i am having my first period since then, and it is very heavy and not like any of my other periods. It feels very abnormal and un-safe. please if anyone knows, i need to know if i should see a doc. i dont have medical insurance so i would have to go to an emergency room.

The first day of my last period was on Jan. 15. I think. However, on Jan. 13, I had a very small amount of blood, spotting. The amount was very small. I didn't have any bleeding again until Jan. 15, when my period came as slightly heavy flow, as it normally does. There was absolutely no bleeding on Jan. 14. My period was a couple of days late, but no biggie. My question is, should I count Jan. 13 as the first day of my last period, even though there was just a tiny bit of blood. Or, should I count Jan. 15 as the first day of my last period, since it came like it normally wold have. My period was due on Jan. 11. The reason that I need to know is because my husband and I are trying to get pregnant and I'm trying figure out my fertile days this month. Give my your thoughts, I'd appreciate it! Thanks.

My husband and I are not ttc, but we're not being very cautious, either. I always start my period every 28 days to the tee. This month, I started 5 days early. It started out like it might be implantation, but the next two days seemed to be a normal period. Since day 2, I've had extreme nausea. I even called in sick, which is not like me. Do you think this could be early pregnancy symptoms, or do you think my cycle changed and I caught the flu bug? Has anyone ever had a situation like this and have it result in pregnancy?

I was just pondering the idea today of maybe having my 2 year old daughter in the room when I deliver.Is this not a good idea? Has anybody done this? Is it even allowed?Of course I wouldn't even think about this if I didnt think she could handle it. I just would like the idea of her being there to share this time with us.What do you think? I have boy girl three year old twins, just want to compare notes with other parents of twins. My biggest pet peeve is that strangers think they have the right to touch my kids. My son has blonde curly hair and people were always running their fingers through it, not so bad now that they are older. What makes complete strangers think they can walk up and touch babies, how rude!!!!!

I just went to the doctor for my six week postpardom check up and started bith control. I have been taking it for about 2 weeks and feel that it has dramatically decreased my breast milk supply. Should I stop taking the pill or how can I increase the supply with still having enough after pumping to feed the baby from me instead of the bottle?

I had a really sharp pain on my right side Jan. 22 Someone had told me that it was probably because I was ovulating. So I had sex that night and the night after. Could I get pregnant having sex on those days? My period is like only a week away can I still get pregnant with my period being so close. How long do I need to wait to take a test. I dont think it would show the day I miss my period because conception would have been to close to my period, so should I wait till like the week after? That way it has a better chance of being accurate and making the hormone for pregnancy?

Im 19 weeks pregnant and i take my prescription prenatals and iron pills each night before bed, during the day can i take 2 chewable flinstone vitamins? Or would i be getting too much? I really like flinstones and i want some lol. Can i take 2 of these a day and still take my prenatal and iron pills each night? Thanks so much!!!
