I'm 16 weeks pregnant...saw the baby several times, but I get so scared I'm going to miscarry. Never did before, this is my first pregnancy, but I still worry. How far along were you when you miscarried and why did it happen...I mean, did the doctor have a reason why?

My pediatrician keeps on putting it off. He told me that the sooner the baby is on cereal, he has a higher risk of diabetes. Anyone ever hear of that? He is over 5 months old.

my mother in law is telling me to rub olive oil on my babies face each day,she said its good for his skin,i usually just wipe it with plain water..just wondering if this is a good idea?!

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for well over a year. My obgyn said that I was perfectly healthy about 2 months ago. My periods have always been right on target, heavy, and last about five days. I took birth control for about 3 weeks, but got off. I have had normal periods since then. About 2 weeks ago I spotted for about 2 days--just enough to have to wear a panty-liner. I get headaches that last on and off for a few days. I get so bloated, my belly swells up so big that I am miserable. I have been getting very faint and nauseous. I took an EPT Certainty pregnancy test yesterday and it said "Pregnant." It was $15 and came one to a box. Then last night I bought the cheapo's...two in a box for about 8 bucks. They both said negative. I have a Dr's appointment on the 1st of next month....what do you think???

I am determined to get back in shape (i have been out of shape for 2 years now since my first child). I am not breast feeding with this child so what can I do to jumstart my metabolism and start getting back in shape. it has really affected my self esteem and I am ready to be the athletic person I USED TO BE! These last few days I have come across girls saying they were raped 4-5 months pregnant and in the same breath posting about losing weight in a month

Or girls saying they are 15 and pregnant and then telling people they are a OBGYN and giving medical advice! (BTW that perosn got a best answer too)

I love the 16 and am I pregnant ones too and in the same breath the story has changed

The thing that worries me is that these people are giving medical advice that people actually use or lying about very serious subjects like rape that you shouldnt lie about. Do they have no soul? Do they relaize how wrong this is?

Do you take medical advice from people on here??

hi i have just came off a 2 day period lighter than normal, but got heavy boobs and lightheaded. but my periods have been like this for 3 mths done 3 tests but all neg?? any ideas??

To all the mothers out there: In the early stages of pregnancy, did you feel light cramping and fluttering? I am about 5 days late with my period, and I have been feeling this for the last few days.

Also, is there a certain time of day that is best when using a hpt? (i.e. early in the morning??)

I heard that 1 out of every 10 healthy women that are trying to get pregnant actually do and that there are only four days out of the month that you can get pregnant...what do you think about this?

I mean, well i have a lot of thoughts about this.. but heres one example, not of thinking deeply, but just in general.. I showed my mum a picture of really alternative band, who i think have amazing style and taste, and she told me they looked ridiculous, and in 20 years time i'll think so too.. well dont you think it's better that i dont? and hopefully never will..? why would i want to be the average 40 year old women , clad in waterproof coat, sensible straight leg jeans, short masculin hair cut and mother of 3 children....?
and the worst part is, they're happy to be like that...just like everyone else.. which is what i really don't get...

I am not far along enough to have a serious worry, but can't help but think about it... my baby is in a transverse position, and I have diastasis symphysis ( this could be the reason she is transverse..which is why I realize there is a chance she won't turn.) Has anyone had a transverse baby? If so, did the doctor try to turn him/her? Not looking for any insults, I am simply looking for answers. Thanks=)

I have been feeling like crap! I have really bad pain in my stomach kind of like BAD GAS. I have not been up for anything. All i feel is my stomach hurting. I have pain in my lower back and i dont get any sleep im always waking up. I also feel sick all day and at time for bed i feel alittle better.

I have a 9-month-old son who had some problems when he was born and although he was fine within a month without a problem in the world, he has never slept well at night. He still gets up approximately 2-3 times in the middle of the night. He will not go back to sleep by himself. I have to get up, give him a bottle, and then he will go back to bed. I am exhausted, it has been a long 9 months without much sleep. He is always fine, not hot, not cold, diaper is okay (maybe wet, but I use the expensive diapers at night). What should I do to get him to sleep all night? He is the same way in the daytime, he is a VERY light sleeper, if something wakes him up 5 minutes into his nap, he will not go back to sleep again. Yes, I do use background noise to try to help eliminate noises that will wake him up. HELP!!!

I was wondering how far into my pregnancy can I move? I HAVE to wait 6-8 weeks, for my husbands paper work and I can go without him since we are moving 5hrs away, we alreay have a new house and everything will be ready when we get there, his family is preparing the house, I wont be doing ANY of the moving, maybe packing plates or blankets something easy, my husband is going to do all the heavy stuff, I am going to ask my doctor next week just wondering what you had to say about it?
