To all the mothers out there: In the early stages of pregnancy, did you feel light cramping and fluttering? I am about 5 days late with my period, and I have been feeling this for the last few days.

Also, is there a certain time of day that is best when using a hpt? (i.e. early in the morning??)

Many women experience just what you are describing during early pregnancy. Some describe it as a feeling that they are about to start but never do. I suggest you take a test. I HIGHLY recommend you use your first morning urine because the HCG hormone is much higher then. The test will tell you it can be taken anytime of day and that is true but you are much more likely to get a true result if you do it with your first morning urine. Good Luck.

Before I knew I was pregnant, I felt the exact same as I was supposed to start my period. Everything was the same, the cramps were just killing me and I kept thinking that I wasn't pregnant and that it was just my period coming. Three positive tests later I found out I was pregnant! However the cramps did continue on for the whole week that I should have been on my period. I am at 5 weeks now and I don't have them anymore. Good Luck!

I decided to take a test because I was light headed all of the time, I never had any cramoing or fluttering unless I had to take a number two (that's what it sounds like to me)
