Ehh doesn't really sound like labor to me. I've gotten menstal like cramps my entire pregnany and well, I'm due Monday and they are even worse but labor still hasn't started. I also have a TON of backpain and have been feeling cruddy but like I said nothing (and it's killing me I want her out already!! lol). I would call the doctor if you're really concerned and see what they advise. Hopefully that baby will stay put for a few more weeks! Best of luck and hope you start feeling better soon!

Not a one of those are signs of labor coming on, they're just the not-often-mentioned-side-effects of pregnancy.

At least you can know that it IS temporary, but you still have a while.

Try to get rest when you can, if anything completely annoys you avoid it when you can, eat right, try to rest, etc.

Also, for the stomach and back pain, you may want to try one of those pregnancy belt things you wear under your clothes. It's basically a wide peice of elastic meant to support your growing belly, so the weight of it doesn't cause your back, sides or stomach to hurt quite as bad. They have them at Motherhood stores, or just ask around anywhere that has maternity clothes.

Ask your doctor about the feeling sick part. My little sister was sick all the time while she was pregnant, and she just thought she had the world's worst morning sickness, only to find out she had gallstones. They were able to remove her gallbladder and she and the baby (yes, she had the surgery during pregnancy) are now fine, and she's feeling MUCH better.

Sorry I don't have more positive news for you, labor-wise. Actually, being told at 34 weeks that you probably AREN'T in labor IS the good news, since it's unbelievably safer for the baby to be born as close to the 40 week mark as possible.

I do hope you feel better soon, though.

Go see Dr. right away. There are several conditions that are not right that could be serious. For example, pre-clampsia is when your tummy get rock hard. It will kill baby and mother if not taken care of in time.
Labor is different. Contractions. They come and go. Tighten with bad cramps (like period cramps only worse). These last about a minute, then go away.
Pregnancy lasts about 40 weeks. If a baby is born before 36 weeks, it is considered a preemie. For your baby to breath well without complications, you should do everything to keep baby from coming until after 36 weeks with the help of your doctor.
What you are feeling could be "lightening" which is when the baby lowers down into the pelvic area into birthing position. Has your baby dropped lower? This is normal and could cause discomfort.
Just make sure you feel the baby moving. If movement stops or slows way down, go see doctor. Better safe than sorry. Plus it will give you the peace of mind you need.
good luck and may you have a happy, healthy baby.

You still have 4-6 weeks until you are full term. If you think you are in labor, you need to call the hospital.

contact your ob, but more then likely it is just braxton hicks contractions. I've had 2 kids and labor pain is pain full to the point that you will not want to stand, walk, or do anything.Back pain is normal I had to where a back brace throughout my prego's.

I would ask your OB but if this has been going on for a long time it probably means thatthe baby is really pushing hard on your insides right now. I assure you when you go into labor you won't question it.
