I love it! Very unique names...

I love the name Kaia and Kai (Kai was our boy name, and means "Ocean" in hawaiian...and Kaia is our girl name if we ever have another girl). So Makaia Ocean fits perfectly together...and Memphis Rain is just a really cool name.

Congrats on your twins!

I like the name Makaia but I am not to sure about Ocean. I like Memphis Rain though. My niece's middle name is Raighn and she already gets a lot of compliments about it. I think that it is a cute middle name.

I do like Makaia a lot but the other names.....Ocean, Rain, and Memphis are really bad. Memphis just doesn't work for a first name at all maybe a middle name....i don't know it is your child, your decision.

Isn't Memphis Rain from Nic Cage's movie Gone In 60 Seconds? Anyway, nice way to be creative without going too overboard. They are nice names.

I think you should ask yourself if those names will be just as cute twenty years from now when the children are applying for a job with a company.

Personally, I think you are condemning your daughter to a life as a stripper or porn actress with a name like Memphis Rain. And your son to a lot of ridicule.

Parents need to stop trying to be "original" and think. If YOU feel the need to spell out the pronunciation of the name, how are your kids going to feel having to spend their lives correcting people? Why deliberately make life hard for them just to satisfy your own need to be different?

The first names are fine, although, I'm not crazy about Memphis. The middle names are stupid.
