I have blue eyes and my x-husband had brown eyes. We had 3 kids. One with blue eyes, one brown and one hazel. no telling what your baby will have. But dont worry, the baby will be beautiful no matter the color of its eyes.

you nonetheless won't be able to correctly assume what colour a second childs eyes will be. Blue eyes are a recessive gene so that you want 2 of them to get a blue eyed infant. So on the grounds that your husband has blue eyes he has 2 recessive genes and also you should have one recessive blue gene to have a blue eyed infant. So because you want 2 genes that signifies that ... You Husband b b blue eyes h b some thing the internet website less than says that blue and hazel are both recessive genes, so that you stands out because the added dominant? that's why it says some thing. base line is that except you would possibly want to assume which egg become being fertilized (hazel or blue) that is demanding to predict which the youngster will be.

You know what's funny...back in the day before they had any scientific evidence that your child doesn't have to have the same eye color as the parents.....people would actually think that their wives had cheated on them because they were under the assumption that it had to either be the color of the mother or father. Chances are you won't know till your baby is about a year old. My husband and I have brown eyes and our daughter has green eyes.

have to look farther than just you two. have to go back up the gene tree and see what others have and realize it could be anything.

I myself come from mostly Native Indian blood. Both sides of family are brown, black or red haired and all have brown or green eyes. And this is over 20 generations. But due to 1 Swed that got in many generations ago....today myself and my middle sister are blonds with blue eyes. Only 2 in the family.

Genes are a funny thing.....can give you items you never dreamed of. But this is why cloning is so bad....why would you want to choose in the first place.....that is God's choice.

Blue eyes are more dominant. Most likely your child will have blue eyes, unless your child inherits your husbands more recessive traits. For example if your husband is a red Head and your child has red hair the probability of inheriting his hazel eyes would increase.

Just depends on which has more dominant genes...my mother has hazel, my father had blue/gray, I came out with my fathers eyes. And my half sister, her mother had brown she still got our father's eyes. In fact everyone on that side of the family has the exact same eyes...it doesn't matter what the other parent looks like. I'd be very shocked if my baby girl gets her fathers eyes.
Now my half brothers have brown eyes like their father's. Neither of them got my mom's hazel eyes.

On my mothers side EVERYBODY has blue eyes, my dad has hazel eyes, mine are hazel.
The answer that hazel is the dominant color and therefore more likely is a good one.

There is no way of knowing. Eye color is determined in the womb even though most babies are born w/blue eyes because they are partially blind. I have Light Brown eyes, my kids dad has blue eyes - my bub was born w/the Blue Eyes, but you can see they are changing to brown, slowly but surely. I wanted her to have blue eyes sooooooo bad. Dark hair and blue eyes are the prettiest combo in the world to me. As well as Blonde hair, brown eyes. Look at Jessica Simpson, blonde hair, Brown eyes, or Brittany Spears, Blond hair, brown eyes. But the blue eyes, brown hair combo really gets me!

My husband has brown eyes and I have green eyes and for two years my son had deep blue eyes and then they changed to a bluish green (more like mine). Brown is supposed to be the recessive gene so figure that one out.
