I am a stay at home mommy of one and I tend to get really bored. I miss adult interaction. I don't have much money to go out shopping or anything. I was just curious what other mommys like me did to get out of the house or to make the time in the house more enjoyable. Don't get me wrong I love spending time with my daughter and playing with her but I still get bored sometimes.
I would join a mommy and me group or something but there is none where i live.

My question is what do you do with your child all day?

I am 23 weeks pregnant. Throughout my pregnancy i*ve had so many complications. The father left me for an ex, im always sick, always having to get hooked up to iv's, couldn't keep my job cause im at the doctors so much, Lets just say it has been the most stressful time ever for me. A week ago i broke doown about my ex. I couldn't stop crying probably a good 5 hours. Hormones, i know. crazyness. Well a couple nights i wake up with horrible pains in my tummy, from above my belly button, to my lower belly. Not round ligament pains, something way different. They usually go away, well yesterday i had them all day and night. No sleep. Today i had them for about 2 hours, i thought i was going to pass out and get sick. It hurts to walk mainly. Now im perfectly fine, but in another hour or 2 they will come back. Any clue why?

other than for their own selfish reasons, like they arn't ready to be a parent, they can't financially support a baby, or they don't have the support of the father?

There are people all over the world who want to adopt a newborn. People can say that these people should adopt one of the thousands of children who are already in foster care or orphanages, but the facts are that there are many people who simply want a newborn. If it came down to a choice to abort or give a child up for adoption, why would a woman choose abortion over adoption, unless it is for her own personal benefit?

The child would not be born into poverty: it would have a loving home, with parents who could properly care for it.
If the child had problems: there are advances in the world of medicine everyday. Who is to say that there are not ways to give that child a somewhat normal life?

What would be a valid reason, that is not just for a womans own selfish reasons?

Do mixed children have shorter lifespans than non-mixed children? Are there statistics to show this? And is there technology nowadays which somehow allow mixed children to live as long as non-mixed children?

I don't like alot of people in my space (in my house). I also don't like it really loud here. Seems like the more people around, the louder things get and it irritates me to no end. Am I being unreasonable? I feel like people need to quit acting like they can just drop in and party whenever they feel like it, especially with the new baby due at any time. I kick people out of my house contstantly.. I don't want uncomfortable people (anyone besides my family and my boyfriend) around me when I'm going through contractions and having cramps being loud and obnoxious. Does anybody think this makes me a *****? Thanks in advance for answers =)

My husband and I have been tryng to think of the best way to tell them, I don't want to wait till she notices my belly in a few months. My mother in law said to email her, but that just seems wrong to me. Any advise would be so much appreciated, Thanks!

If women have had the choice since the beginning of time to chose whether or not to have a baby, why should that right be taken away from her? With many different "treatments" that women have had the knowledge of, secretly passed from mother to daughter and more obvious methods that were known by others throughout history, to be able to do this with every right to do so, why is it wrong? In the past, during biblical times, the moment of conception wasn't based off of when the sperm meets the egg, especially since during those times, they didn't even contribute women having eggs to have fertilized. And during those times, there were many health issues that cause the woman's menstrual cycle to stop. It was usually decided upon by the woman when she felt the first kick of the baby. She then "reported" that she was pregnant, and then was treated as such. What reason, religiously or otherwise, should this right be taken away from women?

Do you think it's right for dads who don't spend time with their kids, don't provide for their children, don't really give a crap either way what what happens to their offspring, to complain about having to pay child support (which if the Mother has a decent job is inadequate anyhow)?

Please note:

Before everyone gets their panties in a bunch I'm not talking about all dads.... just the ones I described above.

I'd like to hear all sides of this story ---- what do you think?

My son is turning one next week and I was just wondering when parents start having their infants sleep in a toddler bed. I know my son is way to small for the bed, but I just want to get an idea because I dropped the crib mattress almost to the ground and when he stands, I'm afraid he will topple over. I do have one of those crib tents over the crib to make sure he does not fall over, but I assume in a few months he will be trying to get out of the crib or worse falling out of the crib. When I purchased the crib it stated for 0 - 3 yrs, but I can not see my son being in the crib until his is 3. What signs should I look for in the upcoming months to know when my son is ready for the toddler bed?

If you read my last qustion you will know the story, but tonight I was lying on the floor and my dad looked over at me and he is all like "you look so much like your mom" and the paused for a second and said "dead." Why is he making wise cracks like these? This isn't the first time.

If a woman has the ultimate say on whether she will be having a baby and she chooses to have the baby even if the man doesn't want it, should or shouldn't a man be able to chose whether he supports the child or not? Why or why not?

Also that his kid is the reason I don't want to come over?

Here is the situation. His child is three, I believe, and they don't believe in spanking. So spanking is out of the question. My wife and I go over to their house to watch football games. Well, while the FB game is going on this kid will scream at the top of his lungs to get attention, jump on the couch, jump on me, stand in front of the tv, play musical instruments, and dance just to get attention. Parents once in a LONG while will say something, or send him to his room.
However if they're in another room you can forget about him listening to you.
In one instance he jumped on me. I told him, "please don't do that, I don't like it". He looked me dead in the eye and jumped on me again. So I told him sternly, "Garrett, what did I tell you? Don't do it!". His father tells me, "say it nicely, he's sensitive". Now this kid can cry on command, he could prob. win a oscar.
How do tell the dad about the situation w/out offending?

I'm concerned because my mother in law has a dog, and my 7 month old daughter likes to play with him, but a lot of times my mother in law is holding the baby, talking on the phone and when she is distracted, the dog licks my daughters mouth! I hate being a "germophobic" but I just worry about my daughter. I don't wanna sound too exaggerated, but I wanna know how bad is this? If it's not that serious, I will just "lighten up" a little and stop worrying about the goofy dog licking her mouth. But IF IT IS SERIOUS and she can get sick, I don't want that dog near her!

Could yo please help me!?

Thanks!!
