By the time I was 8 months pregnant, I could have swore I was going to burst. The baby is basically crammed into a tiny belly, that doesn't hold much room for movement in the late months of pregnancy. My son really didn't move at all. Maybe just a couple times. But this is all perfectly normal, but I went through the faze of freaking out, b/c I was sure he had to move more, but I was reassured that everything was ok.

everyone is different so if you are not having the same as someone else don't worry. However make sure that you feel the baby move at least once a day. R U sure you are only 8 months. In the 9 before delivery it is not uncommon to not feel the baby move a lot. I know how worrisome it can be and worry is not good either. In Canada where I live you can by the little heart monitor things that you can hear your own babies heart rate it does help to hear it. If you are having concerns Please contact your Dr. You should now be going every other week. Good Luck and God Bless. and don't forget to BREATHE....

The later part of the pregnancy the movements do slow down because the baby is getting bigger and there is less room for it to move around. However, you should still be feeling kicks and stuff. If you are not feeling any movements for the past several hours or more, then you should see your OB just to make sure everything is okay.

Fetal movements tend to decrease as you get nearer to delivery, BUT you should still feel movements. You can safely try to stimulate the baby to move by changing your position (it may wake up the baby if s/he is sleeping), or you can drink soda to see if the baby moves. If a woman feels sudden increased activity, it may be a sign that the baby is in distress and she would need to call her practitioner and get to the ER/hospital immediately. HTH, best of wishes for you and your baby

There isn't much, due to the baby has grown out of room for lots of movement. You make feel a heel or a hand in places that make you not be able to breath but there isn't alot of movement. Although my daughter decided to turn breech when I was 8 months along. Needless to say bedrest, her and I got really close for the last month of my pregnacy.

mine has kept up the same amount of movement or more and i'm a week into my ninth now. if you can't count 6 kicks within a two hour period of fetal activity get in to your DR right away. fetus could be in distress

REDUCES.... NOT HERE!

Shoot, my baby won't stop moving! Course there is no room for him to go, I'm always getting kicked in my ribs, and punched in the side, oh or the latest, he likes to push on my bladder!

babies move less because there is less room for them, and it's more like wiggling and squirming rather than kicks, but you should keep track and make sure that the baby is still moving like 10/hr everyday. that's what the told me when i was pregnant, to check like twice a day.

It depends on how big the baby is. and as long as the baby kicks ten times a day the the baby is fine no worries
