Pregnancy & Parenting - 20 November 2006

My little boy is currently suffering from uncontrolable erections, which are bothering him as his classmates are teasing him about them.
Is there anyway he can prevent these or at least discretely hide them, for example if he was to go to the toilet would this help?
I am a single mum with no male to ask for advice,
Please help xx.

since a few days after she was born she has had oral thrush. my health visitor says this is very common in breast fed babies. i have been back and forth to the doctors and used the prescriptions they have given and it still hasnt cleared. anyone had similr experience?how long will it take to clear?

Please be precise, I only need the schedule..no advice.
I also understand that each child is different and that sometimes schedules do not work... I just need to see what other moms do.

For example:
7am 5oz formula
11am Potatoes (2nd foods)
1pm 4oz formula
4pm Banana pudding
... and so on.

r there any expecting mothers out there close to the end of there pregnancy that have back pain so bad, that they cant sit, stand or sleep? i am only 34 weeks and i am in terrible pain. i have went to a chiro-practor and everything. i have tried sleeping on the bed, couch and air mattress and nothing seems to work. does anyone have any other suggestions that i might be able to try that will help me. please, i am not getting any sleep and i have 2 other children i am raising, and when i dont get any sleep i am very irritable. am going back to the doctor tomorrow. all advice will be much appreciated.

How does everyone feel about giving someone else a baby? I carried a baby for a friend and it seems like she (not hubby) is still angry that she could not carry. I gave her the gift of a baby and I never see him. I am proud of what I did but, just want to know what he looks like and how he grows. He is 100% them, I just carried him for 9 months. I have no regrets! Suggestions?
FYI: The baby is now 5 and I would only want a picture-not a one on one with him. Is that asking too much?

Alittle back story; On Friday we started giving him whole milk instead of formula (he turns 1 in a couple of days) He's been eating solid food pretty well for the past month, with only 3 bottles in between. (which is pretty good for him b/c before he wouldn't eat any solids, and drank WAAAAY too many bottle to be so old) Anyway, he seemed to handle the milk well. No diahrrea, no gas, or anything.

So, yesterday he started screaming at about 2 o'clock and wouldn't stop. I tried everything. He wouldn't eat lunch, dinner, or any snacks. Maybe a few cheerios here and there, but nothing you could actually call a whole snack. Anyway, he went to sleep at 8:30! Which is weird for him, because he usually doesn't go to bed until 10. Not to mention he just passed out in my lap, usually I have to bounce him to sleep drinking a bottle. Then he slept until 10:30 this morning!! (usually he wakes up at 8) Again, he wants nothing to do with solid food, just the bottles. But he is soooo crabby. He wanted nothing other than to be held. I should say me holding him while I'm standing up and swaying back a forth. (it's very annoying) So he falls back asleep at 12:30, sleeps until 1:30, wakes up cries for another bah (bottle) and then falls asleep again at 2:00. It's almost 3 now and he's still asleep! He doesn't have a fever, no diaper rash, or anything else wrong with him that I can see. He could always be getting another tooth, but when I checked in his mouth I didn't feel any bumps.

So, I don't know what the hell is going on. If you actually took the time to read this and have any ideas, PLEASE share. I'm going out of my mind. I'm worried. I called his pediatrician, but of course that lazy ***** hasn't gotten back with me yet. Help... please.....going crazy................AHHHH

My husband and I are planning on starting a family next year. I've heard that a woman can at least have 16 oz of coffee a day. Is this true, or should I just give it up for nine months?

Also, how long should we wait after I stop taking the pill?

I'll be visiting my gynocologist in March, but by then I hope to be pregnant.

I'll try to make this short. I was suppose to start my period on i thought the 11th of nov took a hpt and it was positive, went on monday and had a blood test done and it was negative, had some light spotting on monday after blood test but nothing to even use a panty liner with, just when i wiped and only did that 2 or 3 times, now nothing. i looked back at prior month and i was acutally suppose to start on the 13th of nov. I have taken 2 hpt this week both negative and still no period so could i be pregnant, this is so stressful..grrrrrrrr...thanks in advance for any response..

i am a chinese. somebody told me that it is not good to have a bath just after u give birth , u can wipe ur body but not shower , because it is not good for ur health, u will get pain inside ur body when u get older . u cant even wash ur hair for few days. i know this is chinese way to haddle thing . i want ur opinion ,pls!!!

I'm about 14 and a half weeks pregnant. I can't wear my jeans anymore...they are wayyy to tight. I'm sick of wearing sweat pants and running pants. I've tried on tons of maternity clothes and they are all HUGE on me!!! Any ideas? I don't know what to do!

I had a procedure done last year where the doctor put dye through the both of my tubes to find that my left tube is fully blocked and the right tube is partially blocked. The doctor put my on a home Ovulation kit; the kit has shown that I do ovulate. Can anything be done to unblock my tubes, and if so how affective is this procedure?

I already have a little girl from a previous marriage, so I’m not sure how or why my tubes have become blocked. I am now married again, and would like to have another baby.

I have been working with my daughter who is almost 3 years old.. for about 3 months.. I have tried everything.. we HAD sex with condom on everytime.. and QUITE frequently also.. it is just normal condom with no spermicide function. she missed her period for 1month already? is she really pregnant? if the pregnancy kit show positive where can i do abortion? because we are not ready to get a child so soon. will it be very painful? where can i get the abortion done SAFELY ? she got a weak body, i am afraid she can't take it.. can some one help me ?????


by right if i use condom, we should be safe right? but i can;t explain why she miss her period for a month.. she say she seems to get a bigger breast..

I would like to know if a 1 month old baby needs to drink water if he is on breast milk and if he is on formula does he need to drink water.If so how much and how to feed him water.i have heard from some sources and even doctors saying that just milk is enough but i still do get conflicting opinions.Please advise
