Jaime-Anais is such a pretty name!
M name is Victoria Suzanne, which must be up there with the most boring names of all time, but my nickname is Moon-Unit, after Frank Zappa's daughter - that's pretty cool.

When I was in high school, there was a family with children named Rio (B), Meadowlark (G-twin), Morningstar (G-twin), and Dayspring. Beautiful unique names, but definitely took some getting used to. I also have cousins who have been given unique names. Killian (an Irish jig) and Epiphany (manifestation of God) and Miki (a japanese flower). Those three are all girls. In this day and age, unique names seem to be all the rage and there are some really beautiful names out there, but there are also some (celebrity babies) that I would think could be embarassing as they get older. I think your child's name is beautiful. My name is also Jamie (spelled differently), but I was named by my father (who was not a part of my life) after the bionic woman and therefore it took me a long time to accept my name.

There are lots of stupid...er, unusual names out there. Look at the NFL. There is a guy playing named "D'brickashaw".
Stick with the keychain rule when naming kids. If you can't find it on a keychain, don't do it. It will be easier on the kid later.
I think Jaime is a nice name and you should stick with that.

When i was younger... back in the day..lol... my name was quite unusual although common now, Baylee. My twins B/g are named Rylee (G) and Asher (B) My brothers girlfriends name is Seven and usually when placing her name on things just writes 7. My Aunt has Three children named Price, Hendrix and Tayp.. strange at first but grew on me.

I knew a family of 3 kids:
Placenta Brown
Phenis Brown and
Starr Brown.
The placenta worried me because you name the baby, not the thing that comes out afterwards. Phenis was troublesome too. Why do they name their babies after body parts.. ? So I asked the mom why she did that and she said she named them after the first thing she saw after they were born..
a placenta
a penis (phenis)
and stars.
The last birth was the hardest for her I guess.

All these parents that think its "cool" to give their children unusual names are cruel! these poor kids are going to have to spell their names at every given opportunity, people will be unable to pronounce them correctly and you'll never be able to buy a mug with their name on lol
