if he's interested in starting his driving lessons then maybe you could get his provisional licence and then give him vouchers for some driving lessons when he reaches 17? at least it will go towards something worth it and help him out with the costs and hes got something to look forward to then?maybe?

A car, just to increase you chances of getting into a major car accident and dying. Nah. Something you're interested in. Maybe an electric guitar with the works? Or ballet classes? Whatever floats your boat. A Debt Card does nicely too.

Gift certificates for the movies, cds, blockbuster rentals, mall shopping, out to eat maybe his favorite store. Is he interested in a cell phone? Does he like video games? A used car. A good book? Crafts?

How about a voucher to go paint balling or something adventurous..maybe you could get yourself a voucher too and join him...i bought my 16 year old one for his birthday and went along...he had a great time splatting me...all those years of getting him to tidy his bedroom and do homework...meant i was a god target

some instrument like,djembe or a congo maybe or two congos a bigger and a smaller one.or just any instrument,thats allways a good gift for a kid.
