My daughter was almost 3 1/2 and was fighting me every step of the way when it came to potty training - She would actually tell me when she needed her diaper changed. One of my friends suggested the following and it worked; she NEVER had a single accident and was potty trained the same day:

Go out and buy a package of diapers that is 2 sizes smaller than what she wears. My daughter immediately started to complain about how tight it was - I told her that she is growing so much and she is too big for diapers and they don't make them any bigger, so she's going to have to use the potty, because that's what big girls do. She did from that point on without a complaint!

My three year old was so hard to train too! Her sister was potty trained at 2 yrs. Finally, I just let up. I said if you want to go potty, fine, if not that's fine too. If she had an accident, I would just say, "Oops, better luck next time." My house smelled like pee for a while, but she is doing great! She goes through the night too. I tried everything to. Stickers, Dora potty, having her pick out her own panties, etc. The relaxed method worked for her. Good luck!

Give it some time. She will let you know when she is ready, the harder you push the more she will back away. It took our first daughter a long time to get the hang of it and just when she did she had a set back that lasted another 6 months. Her doc told us this advice and also told us nobody goes to high school in diapers. Just sit back and take her cues and enjoy the ride. Good luck, our youngest has just started to let us know she has to go about 25% of the time.

Don't worry this is all new to her. Here is what i did with my daughter, when ever i went to the bathroom i took her and placed her on the potty.Even though she never used it i always let her sit for like 5 miutes. When she got up and still didn't do anything i still told her how smart she was, and how proud of her i was and that she was such a big girl. Eventually she got the hang of.So don't panick, maybe this will work for you. Good luck!!!

My son's pediatrician told me to leave him alone "he was three", said the more you pressure the longer the child may wait to use the potty. He was absolutely right once I laid off my son on his own started using the potty. Good luck to you.

Sing her a potty song and reward her with a special reward when she uses the potty. It takes time, so don't worry about it and don't push it.

When ever you go to the "pot" take her with you and put her on the pot too... Children learn by example.

Also, when she "does go", praise her to beat the band!!! We gave gold stars on the calendar for my children, when ever they "did" the right thing :o)

It will take awhile, but, you have to lead by example and "show her" how its done properly :)

I wish you well..

Sounds like she's not ready. Try backing off for a little while
