My 3 1/2 month old son has all of these red spots on his face and belly. They usually get worse when he wakes up from his naps or night time. I have tried putting A&D ointment on it and also diaper rash cream. Nothing seems to help.

My son began sleeping thru the night at around 5 months of age. He used to get up once or twice and sometimes went back to sleep on his own or sometimes i patted his back to put him to sleep. In the past 3 days he has started to wake up at around 3 am and only goes back to sleep after I nurse him. He keeps crying until the time I nurse him no mater what else i do. He is otherwise a very healthy baby and has gained weight well since his birth and is very active during the day. Has anyone gone thru something similar?

I grounded my daughter on the day of her best friends birthday party. Out of concern for her friend I did ask how many kids would be at the party. If she would have been the only one invited, well... but there were approx. 15 kids coming - so, I followed through with the punishment. Then the friends mother called me to tell me what a horrible thing that is to do and she would never do that to her daughters best friend. She proceded to tell me that what my daughter did wasn't worth the punichment and that they are just kids (13). That her daughter won't have another party until she's 16 & on and on. I was very nice to her on the phone because I did feel bad for having to punish my daughter and for her friends feelings. Looking back at everything - I should have put her in her place. I would just like to know if anyone has had something similar happend and what your oppion on the whole thing is?!

i started my quite early age 10 to be precise, it wasnt really regular. i sometimes skip months and when it comes ,it could be dark. on. ive never felt any pain or discomfort and my flow is not heavy. however i notice that on the last day, ill feel a sharp pain and few drops of blood follows, cleaning myself later i discovered small flesh . i thought it was blood cloth , i rinsed the blood off it and it was like a piece of thin meat. this used to happen till i graduated from university . now i dont experience the last day sharp pain with little flesh cut again . but what was that?

I am 2 months late but negative urine results. I already have 3 kids ages 5,3,1 and I honestly never knew I was pregnant with them till I went to the doctor. I have taken 2 tests now one 2 weeks ater I was late and the last one 2 fridays ago but I still have not gotten anything. I feel alittle sick but have not gotten sick. I have been tired but no other signs. I really dont have much stress and I have not changed my activities. other than eating alot. I guess I am just going to have to get blood done.

My baby has recently acquired a voracious appetite. She eats and eats and eats. This morning, for example, she drank about 6 ounces of milk, and then ate an entire small quail, meat pick off the bones for her and a slice of bread. She's now washing that down with a 4 ounce box of juicy juice. I tried to play games with her and distract her from food, but she will raise hell until she gets fed. Bottles used to cut it, but now she demands solid "people" food at every meal. She is 10.5 mos old, and is not terribly fat. She weighs about 26 lbs, and is very tall and proportioned. She is very healthy, never been sick in her life. I am wondering if anyone has gone through similar things with their baby, and what do you do? Just keep feeding them? She eats more than my 6 year old.

my daughter would like to throw a party, she's turning 16.
she's a little bit of a rebel so i told her that the party has to be at our house, and she said she would like to have a "rainbow party"... then she told me that she wants a whole box of lipstick for her birthday.

what sort of decorations do i have to buy for this? just different coloured streamers?

I’m all for equality in the work place.

I’m all for equal rights for both genders.

---BUT---

Lately I’ve noticed women taking this a little too far. I’ve noticed (in the work place and in the home) women believe they should get special privileges or treatment merely for being a woman. I’ve noticed a lot of women who stay at home (while the husband is working and supporting her) thinking it’s not their job to maintain a clean home. They want the man to come home (after a hard day of work) and clean up messes left by both or woman who simply won’t do a job in the work place because “they can’t do it.” Maybe I’m wrong but I feel strongly that if a woman wants a job they should do it (and every aspect of it) as good if not better then a man. Woman use this movement for excuses. They claim it’s not a woman’s job to cook and clean (basically everything pertaining to maintaining a home) therefore they do not do it. Yes, men have responsibilities too---they should help out. I think this movement has turned more in to women thinking they are superior or deserve more then men instead of the original idea of women getting equal rights

I’m so happy that I am liberated and that I can go out and get any career I want--regardless of being female. I’m a SAHM--if my husband was a stay at home dad I’d expect him to do just as much as I do. I just think the roles are being flipped--some women consider themselves better then men instead of equal. What are you feelings on this? Have you ever met a woman along these lines? Thank you for your comments!

I didn't. I made sure the sonographer (is that the right word??) knew not to give anything away. A few folk I knew asked to find out and I just feel it takes away the element of nine month's anticipation, wondering and excitement.

My son will be 10 next month. He is in 4th grade and my husband and I have discussed at what point is a good time to discuss sex with him. My friends have said now is good, but he still has this sense of innocence about him. He's still too busy with his male friends to be really interested in girls. He doesnt really ask about it yet. Normal questions like where do babies come from have popped up and he seems satisfied with our answers. I just dont want to treat sex like its this awful taboo thing, but i dont want to address like its ok to do it with whoever and whenever, either. Hopefully, not that he's even close to thinking about it. I'm concerned because there is a 7th gr girl in our local school who is pregnant, so I know these kids are doing it younger and younger. Any advice on when and how to approach it would be appreciated. Thank you.

My daughter started sleeping thru the night at about 8 months, however, in the past month, she has started getting up 2-3 times a night ready to be taken out of her crib to play. We have tried taking away her naps (she just gets REALLY crabby), we have tried keeping her up later, everything we can think of. We have a great bedtime ritual and she has no problem falling asleep, she just cannot stay asleep. Any advice??
