YES!!!! Don't believe anyone who tells you that you can not be treated when pregnant. Chlamydia is actually on the rise among those who are sexually active; it is also an STD where you may not show any symptoms, this is the reason why you are tested and treated when pregnant. you will be given an antibiotic which you will take 1 pill a day for a week, 2 pills a day for a week...etc. it will depend on how far along you are in your pregnancy, if you are allergic to any medications, if this is your first time being treated, and what the normal antibiotic routine for your doc's office is. once the antibiotic regimen is done you will be tested again, your partner will also have to take the same antibiotic regime as you, so that you will not become reinfected thus starting the process over again. you will also be tested for Strep B, if that comes back positive then during delivery you will be given antibiotics through an IV.

No you cant be treated for it while you are pregnant. They will give you IV antiboitics in labor and during delivery, to keep from passing the STD over to the baby in the delivery process. then after you have the baby, they will give you a monster dose of antibiotics like Zythromax or Zithromyacin. Also known as the Z pack. Or Tetramyacin. Make sure you have something in your belly before you take these super antibiotics, because they will make you nauseated. The good thing is that if you take these meds, then the chlamydia will be cleared and treated. And as long as you keep away from the source that you got it from until they are also treated and cured, you will be fine.

Yes you can...its a simple treatment for one week with erthromycin (different antibiotic to if you were not pregnant). See a doctor and it will be sorted! Hope this helps.

Your partner will need treatment too otherwise you will get it back after treatment.

yes you can but your doc will advise you to best treatment as your body changes whilst you pregnant also some antibiotics should not be given to pregnant women so see your doc rather than a GUM clinic which tend to be nurse led

Yes, they can treat it. They try to treat everything that's treatable during pregnancy so as not to pass anything on to the baby during birth, passing through the birth canal.

I would check with your doctor but simple course of antibiotics can effectively cure the infection.

yes they give you 4 antibiotic pills and you have to take them all at once. I had that when I was pg. That is what i had to do. Then for my next checkup it was gone.
