Love Jalen. Great name. Would probably use it for a girl though. Which Joseph wa Jalen the brother of? Joseph son of Jacob has brothers: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Benjamin, Dan, Naphtali, Gad and Asher.
I have a friend who called their son Zephan.

I think that Jalen sounds like a girl's name, but I love the name Galen for a boy!

of course jalen/ jalun is a good name for a boy but it is not unique because i know some boys name is jalen/jalun

The second answer is ridiculous. Joseph and John are just as contro. You should name your baby what you want. I would not choose a biblical name, because of the 'was on religion'
