My husband and I are 21 and 22, we have a 19 month old daughter whom we adore and enjoy very much. We know we want more children, and dont want big gaps in their ages. We want them to be close. But is it wrong to have a 2nd child before we are financially stable? We are torn. To wait til my husband has a more stable job, and my business is doing better so that things are easier financially? We never fight about money or anything, so thats not the issue, we just want to be able to support our kids. But we also worry that waiting may put too big a gap between our first and second child, and then babies #3 and 4, would probably be closer together. Would that isolate our oldest? Or would it be nice to have her be about 4yrs old before having our next child, so she can help out and be gone part of the day for preschool, allowing 1 on1 time with the new baby? My friend says that if we wait til we feel we have enough money, we will never have another child. So advice anyone?

My last period was on Sept 13th i was on bc previously since July. I ended up in the hospital on the 17th while on my period and stopped taking the pill since that day. Then my period ended around the 18th-19th, had sex on the 20th and 24th both without protection. (not smart, i know) but i have a regular 28 day cycle and suppose to get my period next wed. I just wanted to know if i could be pregnant or put myself in a greater risk on those days? I wasnt feeling anything except for a little cramping here and there like my period is about to come and other than that nothing really. Please help me!

What would YOU do in the following situation:

You get tickets to your teams game (A playoff game) on a weekday night. You would not get home until after midnight. You are unable to get a last minute babysitter but your children are able to stay at the neighbors house (you are going to the game with the neighbors) with their child and live in nanny. At this point, you are all set with childcare. Would you:

a) let your children skip school the following day because of late night
b) Send your children to school even though you know they will be tired
c) Skipped the game, and have went on with normal routine

My inlaws work on a ranch, they take my 2 year old (25 mos) on a 4 wheeler w/out a helmet down canal banks and across rocky fields with cows and horses in them. Do you think this is safe? Am I being overly worried, or should I tell them to stop doing this? I appreciate that they babysit, but I'm worried about the safety of my child.
Also, they live about a mile above the ranch and take her from the ranch back to the house in a car without using a car seat. These are public roads. I just found out that they do this frequently. What are your thoughts on this?

shes 3, and knows that a vagina is a vagina...not a hoo ha, a penis is a penis...not a wee wee, and that she has a clitoris. She knows that boys have a penis and girls have a vagina, and she is obsessed with boobies. No the child is not being abused, just naturally curious, and as her mother I would rather her grow up with the proper terminology, and a healthy attitude towards her body, not a shameful one.

shes going to preschool soon, should i give her teachers a heads up, that even though we talk to her about only talking about her parts at home, that sometimes she will talk about them in public?

My husbands daughter lives in MASS with her legal guardians. He has not had any contact with her for a couple years. I contacted them and they allowed our daughter and his first child to meet. After about 6 months they decided that they didn't want his other child to visit with her sister. Should I push the matter through court or wait untill they are adults and let them decide? The baby is 2 and she is 11.

My boyfriends 17 year old son disobeyed his mama last weekend. He stayed out with his girlfriend 3 hours past the time he was supposed to. He hasn't been a child that rebels or gets into trouble. He's personality is changing quickly and he's becoming very selfish. Anyway, we've planned to go camping this weekend. Josh (his son) lives 40 miles south of us and his girlfriend lives 35 miles east of him. (She is supposed to go with us) And we camp 45 miles north of where we live. He was going to drive to pick her up and then follow us to the camp site. Because he got in trouble he is not allowed to drive. His mom and I don't think Josh should be allowed to take his girlfriend with us this weekend as punishment. His dad thinks otherwise and we would have to do all that driving for his son that should be punished. I think his dad is worried about Josh ruining the weekend by being miserable. I say if he can't be happy then he doesn't have to do activities with us. What's your opinion? Thanx

I am starting a job nannying for a 16-month old little boy, and I want to go in with some great ideas as to how to engage him in acitivities. So, what are some good games, songs, and activities for this age? I hope to work on his language and his fine motor skills, if that helps to narrow it down.

I heard someone say that showing early 3-4 months could depend on how much amniotic fluid your baby has, is this true? I have never heard this. If it is true does that mean if you are not showing it could be to low amniotic fluid?

My husband and I want 4 kids. We have one daughter, 19 months old, so far. The only siblings I have are 4 older step brothers that I never really got close to, and a 8 year younger half brother that I had a hard time getting along with due to the age gap. What advice do you have for a parent as to how to treat siblings? Obviously, be a good parent and such, but as far as the sibling dynamic goes, what is your advice? What do you wish you could say to your parents about how they treat/treated you and your siblings, ie: "im so glad they treated us equally" or "i hated that they always compared us" whatever... Just interested in, when we have more kids, what we can do to help them build a good sibling relationship that will last, so that even when we are gone someday, they still have eachother.
