I have been reading a lot of questions from teens here. It seems that they are so weak minded that they can't handle anything. From sex to " kicking boys in the balls" as one girl put it. They have to do what everybody else is doing. I read that one girl couldn't be a "real woman" without having a child before she turned 16. What is the problem. Please don't tell me it is the media. Becuse the same stuff was going on in the 80's & early 90's. Where in the world are the parents? And why are you so afraid to talk to them? They have gone through the same things you have. They can really help out if you give them a chance.
I have also noticed that teens these days want everything to be given to them. Godforbid they should work for anything. And Godforbid they shouldn't have designer clothes, ipods and cell phones at such a young age. My husband & I own a pet store in CA. and we found thatwe can't hire teens. They want to get paid "well" but they don't want to work.

There was a case here in South Florida where 3 teenagers beat a homeless man to death with baseball bats. When one of the teens' mother was on the witness stand in court, she said that her son was a "good kid" who was probably influenced by his friends.
Why do parents do this? Why do they take responsibility away from their children and admit that what they did was completely wrong? In the video they showed on TV of this man getting beaten, it sure looked like her son was having a good time.

This is a serious question so no idiot answers please.
I have been pondering the whole labour pain thing. This is my first and im 7 weeks pregnant. In an ideal world i would like to have a water birth with no pain relief. I have seen many mixed comments about the pain of labour, some appear to have found it easier than others. I have had a miscarriage and the contractions i felt at this time I have been told are the same as labour. The only added pain when in childbirth would be the size of the baby coming out is obviously much larger then if u have a miscarriage, and therefore adds to the pain. When i had the miscarrage, it hurt like hell but i found myself dealing with it, almost seperating myself from it in my head, almost like a spiritual thing and got through it without painkillers. My question is to ladies who have experienced childbirth - am i right in making the assumption that actually giving birth is the same? I am very interested in hearing your opinion on this.
Thanks

Does an actual physician need to "prescribe" the epidural (for the anesthesiologist), or can midwives do that?

I have heard that women under 5'4 will generally have more children than taller women, however taller women are more likely to have multiple births (twins, triplets...). Are there other physical signs of fertility? I also heard a small waist and large hips is a sign, but does it actually serve a biological purpose? For breasts, do larger breasts actually serve a biological purpose of being able to raise more children? Anything else?

I understand if you don't wish to discuss it-
I lost a baby at 39 weeks due to abruption
I can't forget it
Or get over it as people tell me to.
How have you dealt with it.

I have a 5 month old daughter, she will soon be 6 months. She is perfectly healthy and is growing so much. All of a sudden her sleep pattern has changed dramatically. I have a routine with her, she gets a bath, I feed her, rock her for 10 mins, and then put her to bed. In that 10 mins she falls asleep completly, but when I go to put her down, she wakes right back up. This will continue for about 3 hours or more. I continue to rock her she will fall back asleep and then wake up the second I put her down. I will even feed her again and this does not help. Then when I finally put her down she wakes up 3 hours later and the same cycle continues. This all started about a week ago and before that I had no problem putting her to bed. Has someone had the same problem? Can anyone offer advice on what to do? And the worst part about it is she refuses to take a nap during the day. Her doctor is no help. Can someone please help?
