Pregnancy & Parenting - 6 October 2006

My little boy started nursery last month, but he is still confused (­) because he doesnt know how to use the urinal properly. Yesterday he came home wet as he had tried to hold himself, I dont know how to help him (we live on our own), I've told him to go into the cubical but he refuses as he wants to be a 'big boy'.
Can anyone offer any advice or links to a good website on how to teach him to use one?

Ok my problem is i have periods every month but not in correct date, not like 28 days , its very rare to have periods with in 28 days, some months periods will come only after 30 or 35 days and will last for 4 days or 5. do i have any problem? will this affect my marriage i mean when we are trying to conceieve?

What is the motivation in the USA to yank children and parents apart with no proof of abuse with some children ending up in their graves at the hands of foster parents approved by the very same agencies that were supposed to protect these very same children? Have you had a nightmare with CPS? Do you think that a change needs to be made? If you could change anything, what would you do? I realize there are some biological parents who don't deserve to keep their kids if they are physically abusing them. Physical abuse is assault. Let law enforcement handle these cases and put those abusive parents in prison. They deserve it. Do you think it would be fair to take children away from any parent who has ever done a mood altering subject. I challenge you to tell me the truth. Does it automaticaly make a child abuser out of you? What do we need to change? The true definition of abuse? Or the leaders of this destructive government who seems to hate the American family, our roots? Hm

I got thru in all interview include the final interview wth the GM and they offer me the job...and there was a medical checkup for me before yesterday.Everything is ok with me but im little underweight..im going to submit my medical reports 2mrw and they wants me to join on day after 2mrw.im just suspecting weather i will be rejected coz of underweight.im selected for the post of Administration Assistant.my age is 21 and im 36Kg's only.will i get the job or will i be rejected.? im confused.pls someone answer me

I had a half empty/full can of beer sitting on a table beside the couch. I went to do something and when I cam eback my son had climbed onto the couch, lend down the side and gotten the can of beer. He was holding it, sitting in a pool of it and had was soaking in it. I assume he would have only had a few mouthfulls at the most as there was still some left in the can. He seems to be OK. He's walking around and seems happy. Will he have any long terms affects, brain damage or anything like that? Anyone have any similar experiences? Please help me! TIA

HI, im starting to get a bit concerned, should i be? We just moved country 2 months ago and alot has been happening in our lifes. She has recently started Nursery full time. Hi. I am 8 weeks pregnant and retaining water horribly. My legs are so swollen that the weight of the water is actually putting to much pressure on my blood vessels, causing red areas in many places.

My biggest probem - it hurts! It hurts soooo much to move.

After about 4 days of it I went in and saw my doctor. All he said was to elevate my legs for 20 minutes a day and he gave me an antihistamine to take at night.

I'm worried though. It's so painful. My feet and legs up to my knees are swollen. My hands and elbows do not appear swollen, yet they hurt too and have a red spot on my left hand like on my legs.

When you are pregnant can you take water pills? If not.. how do you help to reduce the water retaining???

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

i was not dialating, and it did not appear that anything else was wrong with me other than the pains of the contractions. i am having them again for the past 24 hours. what would happen if i continue having them but, dont go to the hospitol? ni dont want that shot again if i dont need it! will my contractions eventually lead to true labor if i dont go get it checked out?

I posted this question here last week. I actually think the right result was reached. But, I have gotten some comments--so I would appreciate any feedback. This is the original:

"This morning for the third day in a row my 11 year old daughter did not make her bed. I told her she was going to get a paddling when she go home.

When she came home today there was a note from her teacher. Apparently she was a hero. There was little boy who was being bullied--in fact beaten up. She intervened helped the little boy out. Turned the offender in and was very nice to the little boy. The teacher said this is really good of her because she is popular and this goes a long ways in setting an example on bullying.

I am proud of her big time. But my rule on spanking is once one is owed it is ALWAYS given. I don't think it works if there is no consistency.

However, I was playing around on this Answers thing and she suggested I throw it out. I am giving it two hours--majority rules."

We went to Walmart with our daughter to let her look around in the toy section to see what she likes get ideas for her birthday. She will be turning 3. She kept going to the new Baby Alive doll and that thing is $50.00 bucks, my husband can't see buying her this and to some point neither can I. But she loves this doll and she is not one for dolls. I am just wondering what all of your opinion on buying a three year old a $50 dollar toy doll. I probably won't get if for her but she is just so intreged by this doll.
