i was not dialating, and it did not appear that anything else was wrong with me other than the pains of the contractions. i am having them again for the past 24 hours. what would happen if i continue having them but, dont go to the hospitol? ni dont want that shot again if i dont need it! will my contractions eventually lead to true labor if i dont go get it checked out?

i would go on the advice of your gyno........alot would depend on how far along you are.....my girlfriend had a shot to delay contractions as she was only 30 weeks and they wanted the baby to be given an opportunity for her lungs to develop further...she had the baby at 32 weeks.....if you are close to full term then there would be no harm in going into labour....but if not i would go on your professionals advice......

At 33 weeks pregnant you are probably safe to have healthy baby. However you really should try to stay pregnant for as long as possible. The baby grows a lot in the last couple weeks. Obviously ask your doctor what is best for your situation. But the longer you keep the baby in the chances are better for it to be healthier. Yes I do believe the contractions will lead to labor. That's how it starts. Eventually they get closer and closer together. Good luck!

when i was pregnant i had the same thing i had to go to the hospital about 4 times thrugout my pregnancy and got the shot every time. Is better if u go to the hospital because the more u wait the more stronger the contracctions get. if the contractions wouldn't lead to true labor u wouln't have had the shot in the first place. ask them for the pill version of the shot so u can take them home just in case u get more contrations

It's usual to have episodic bouts of contractions overdue in being pregnant. Often they're precipitated through even the mildest dehydration. So if it occurs once more, drink a giant glass of water and lie all the way down to relaxation for 30-60 mins and they'll more often than not leave. You'll recognise whilst it is truly exertions, given that they'll continuously get extra excessive and nearer in combination and can maintain for greater than a few hours. Good success!

Well heres the thing.... usually when you're having contractions its a sign of labor. and you would go to the hospital if you were in labor right?? They gave you the shot because your baby isnt developed enough to come out. If it were me I would rather take the shot than cause harm to my baby. think about it a little more sweetie.....you're a parent now.. its no longer your right to be selfish.

This is not the time to compromise your babies health over the fear of a needle.

What could happen is you can go into preterm labor and have a premature baby.

Get yourself to the hospital. After childbirth a needle stick will seem like a butterfly landing on your arm.

I'm sure you were given instructions when you left the hospital, follow them.
