I have been reading a lot of questions from teens here. It seems that they are so weak minded that they can't handle anything. From sex to " kicking boys in the balls" as one girl put it. They have to do what everybody else is doing. I read that one girl couldn't be a "real woman" without having a child before she turned 16. What is the problem. Please don't tell me it is the media. Becuse the same stuff was going on in the 80's & early 90's. Where in the world are the parents? And why are you so afraid to talk to them? They have gone through the same things you have. They can really help out if you give them a chance.
I have also noticed that teens these days want everything to be given to them. Godforbid they should work for anything. And Godforbid they shouldn't have designer clothes, ipods and cell phones at such a young age. My husband & I own a pet store in CA. and we found thatwe can't hire teens. They want to get paid "well" but they don't want to work.

They have allowed their friends to steal from us. But, when we catch them they beg us not to do anything to them because they need their friends ( we charge them with shop lifting anyway and call the police)
All they want to do is play with the animals but, they "can't" do the dirty work like cleaning out cages, cleaning tanks or feeding. Becuse of this we have choosen to never hire another teen.
We now just work alone.
A lot of them clam that they are afraid to talk to their parents because they are or gotten someone pregnant.
Teens: if you are afraid your parents are going to be: mad or going to Kill you. Then why are you having sex. Sex is no just an act it is a loving and bond act between a husband and wife. And sex is for married people only. Not teens. You guys do not need it at all. You are not adults and not married. Being an adult and married is when you will need to have sex.
Also if you are afraid of talking to your parents about sex, then you are not ready for it

When I was a teen there was peer presure. But, I was smart and didn't give in. I only knew of one girl that ever got pregnant at our school and she was kicked out along with her boyfriend. Pregnant teens were and still not allowed at our high school. Yes it is a public high school. Both the girl and the boyfriend were new comers. Anyone who comes in after 3rd grade is known as a new comer. We only have a Elem. School , Jr. High school and high school in our whole school district. So it is a small town. Most of us have known each other since preschool or before. So dating is not much of a big deal. Why would you date someone who you have known since you were in dipers??
I am now 33, married and have a 3 year old son and another son due in Jan. 2007. I was smart enough to save my self for marriage. I was 28 when I got married and still a virgin. I am teaching my boys that sex is not needed until they get married.

And like I was raised. I will not allow my boys to do anything by them selves until they are 16. This means dating, group dating. They can go to the mall but, myself or my husband or another parent that I trust must be with the group at all times with in 20 feet. and they must be in sight at all times.
With movies, I have to know what the movie is about, and I will be with them while they watch the movie with their friends.
If they are caught dating before they are 16 they will not be allowed to date until they are 18 and out of our house.
If they want designer clothes, cell phones or a car they must get a job and pay for it them selves. I will though help pay for college. Your education is the most important thing you can have.
These are my rules and they will be obeyed. I am my sons's parent not their friend.

you ALWAYS ask questions like this. why? where did you get the idea that teens are like this? do you HAVE a teen? you say you dont, so how did you learn this?
i am a teen and go to high school. there are no pregnant students in my school. there are close to 3000 people in the school, and there are 0 pregnant girls. believe it or not, teenagers arent as stupid and lazy as everyone thinks.
i am 15, have a job, and pay for my cell phone and any designer clothes that i have. i have worked to earn the money for all of the major purchases that i have made since i was legally allowed to work. i was not forced to get a job, but i chose to, because i wanted to own things that i worked for myself. i make a little more than the minimum wage, but i save and spend on the things that i want the most. i am also an active memeber of 2 clubs and play guitar in a rock band. i get good grades, and my parents trust me.
you, in asking your question, assume that most teens have an i pod and designer clothes and get pregnant at 16, but the truth is that most of them work for what they have and save up for what they want. and if a person expects to be given all those things, their parents can easily tell them no. there is no law that says that if a child asks for something that they have to have it. you need to open your eyes and mind to the real world, because you are only seeing the negative aspects of teen behavior.
i am quite sure that you would be a person who would not want anyone under age 18 to be allowed to purchase or use any birth control methods, but you are the first to complain about teenage girls that are pregnant. it is true that they can just not have sex, but realistically, that will never happen. if they can access birth control easily, then the problem of pregnancy will be significantly less seroius. how are underage people supposed to have safe sex if they are not allowed the tools to do it?

I am 16, I live in England. I don't have designer clothes, ipods and my mobile is bout 4 years old and I bought it for £40. I work at Primark!!! for £4.76 an hour. My parents don't pay for anything anymore and I have to be independent. I would not have unprotected sex, I do not kick boys in the balls unless they are stalking me on a dark night, and I definately don't want children till i'm 25. The truth is that some people my age don't live in the real world. They have parents who buy them anything they like and support them there whole lives. I think that the reason for this is that more people have more money so sending your kids ot to work cos u cant afford to buy them everything is no longer necessary.
So please stop generalising about teens. Most of us are not weak minded fools!!!!

i would say that if parents hand hteir kids everything or givr into whining and demands they are not going toknow ow to earn a dime to get what they want or need. I have ied hard to make my kids aware of the need to earn money for wants or fancies. So far I a notdoing too bad. The last one to turn 18 waited until a few days befoe turning 18 and then all of a sudden maturiy abounded. I am glad It would have been nice a little ooner. My 15 year old got a jb on a ranchand spent mos of his summer working for wants and some needs. It is good for them to learn how to earn.

properly i visit't say, if what you're doing is inaccurate or suitable...... yet i guess you've were given an habit of doing it (if no longer a psychological concern). properly As what you suggested develop into suitable blood will heal scars and clot will sort.... yet if you're staying healthful then there is not any concern. do not do it often times. Clot formation also has limitations. fairly why do not you bypass for blood donations per week. Atleast you could help if giving someone existence, fairly of dropping that blood. besides thats all i visit allow you to understand, i understand you'd be pissed if I say some thing about psychological well being. So take excitement in it yet do it causiously. Merry Christmas.

Don't be so bloody superior. Like when you were a teen, your conversation was SOOOO erudite? Your goals and values were SOOOO lofty?
I think you wear rose-colored glasses, alte.
The difference here is that the maunderings of the moronic have precisely the same presentation and weight as the gabbing of the gifted.
Teens these days, in my experience, are pretty cool. The problem they have is in weighing the torrent of information they are bombarded with ... the crap they get off Wikipedia is given the same value as Britannica or the OED. That may be a problem down the road, but maybe not, maybe not.
Chill. And stop judging.

Just like SAHM, career women, deadbeat dads and family men do not like to all be grouped together and judged by what one person or even the majority does you shouldn't judge the future of humanity as one general group. Sure there are those teens who think that they "deserve" to have everything handed to them but somewhere in that group is possibly our nest DaVinci or Einstein. Each person deserves to be judged on the individual offerings not by the general group.

They are not all that way. My 20-year-old nephew is in his third year at university in Pennsylvania, is planning to go for Masters and Ph.D. after graduation.
Oh, and listen to the radio program "From the Top" on NPR. It's broadcast from the New England Conservatory of Music, and it features very talented young classical musicians.
