alone which included crossing the road (without lights or a zebra crossing) and walking 2-3 blocks in a fairly busy area. He gets the kids every fortnight. She is very upset becasue of road safety and someone grabbing him. Ex says that he is teaching him "self confidence". He has also left them both (the other is 5) at home alone when he goes to the video shop or pizza shop. What can she do?

she is only dialated to 1cm and the doctor has set a date of Monday to induce. We are still hoping for a natural non indued birth so how can we speed up the process.

I know all babies are different, but I need a good night's sleep, at least 5 hrs. Any suggestions? Yes, he is now on solids, and teething and the doctor says there is no reason he is not sleeping. Just deal with it. Easy enough for him to say.

I have a 17 year old son and lately he hasnt been going to school because he just wont get up. I ask him over and over try to pull him up but it just doesnt do anything. Also he LOVES the computer so when he doesnt go to school he doesnt get the computer,cd player,or anything. But he doesnt seem to mind. The school is calling me wondering why he isnt coming to school and all i can say is he just wont. My son also has some what of a learning disabilty and has sudical thoughts and uses them when he doesnt get his way. Please help. Conseling has been used but he acts like theres nothing wrong with what he is doing. HOW CAN I GET HIM TO SCHOOL.

Well i'm 14 yrs old and 5mnths pregnant. When i found out that i was pregnant i didn't know what the hell to do but my family, friends and b/f were really supportive ....my b/f is 17 and lives with his parents and when he comes round to my house he always tells my parents how excited he is for the baby but when i'm round at his house he tells me that we shouldn't have the baby and that the sex meant nothing. I've tried breaking up with him before but it's way 2 hard he tells me that he loves me and that he's sorry....we've been together for 8 months and i want to break up with him just don't know how to have some pride and stick to it!! please help....any suggestions?????

My son is gifted (not by my definition, but by the state's). He started middle school this year and is doing pretty well. He has matured a lot over the past few weeks and says he likes it alright.
We have been thinking of sending him to a private christian school because the schools were I live are getting so bad. He has had problems fitting in because he doesn't understand kids his own age. His best friend started the private school so he wants to go to be with him.
We can't really afford a private school but have figured out ways to make it work. I worry that because he is gifted the private school doesn't have programs for gifted children and he may miss out. Also, you hear of sheltering a child to much? What do you think?

I have a 2 and a half year old daughter (she'll be 3 in December) and she does not take medication at all? By medication I mean for the common cold or for a fever or something like that. I have tried so many different ways but nothing seems to work. Do you think that it is okay to mix the medication with a bit of water? Or do you think that the medication wont be effective that way? Any ideas?
