No, it is absolutely not true that you see your life flashing before you. You do think about a lot of things though. (The drugs don't help that part much either.) Your mind just wanders. You think about everything that could go wrong, not only in labor, but in being a parent and raising a child. You think about what your child is going to look like more intensely than you did throughout your entire pregnancy. You think about whether you'll be a good parent. You think about a lot of things that, at that particular time, don't really matter... All that matters is that you are in the process of bringing a child into the world. You are giving life, and inevitably, unconditional love, the two greatest gifts of all. So when it starts to get overwhelming, take a minute, breathe, and just remember, it's all worth it in just a short amount of time, when you will be holding your BEAUTIFUL son or daughter! Best of luck!

No but I saw the father's life flash before my eyes! I was hurting so bad I wanted to kill him. I didn't want to die, I had a baby to take care of. But if I could have gotten ahold of him that moment he would have seen flashes I'm sure!

No. The only thing flashing before me was the idiot on-call doctor who sent me home the first time I went to the hospital in labor that night.

Not for me!

I was in labor for 24 hours before having an emergency c-section.

I didn't see anything pass before me except for a flurry a nurses, the slow tick of a clock, and the TV.

It's painful, but I just wanted it to end.

I think so, but my life had been so short when I was born I didn't have much of it to flash.
