How can I calm a five year old boy down for bed at night?

We have always had a routine. At 7:30 we start settling down for bed. At 8:15 he takes a bath (after my son 7months) and then he seems relatively calm but then we we read a book he gets excited again. I don't want to cut out the book because I think reading is a great habit to have but I don't know what else to do. The boys share a room and sometimes he keeps the other one awake by just being fidgety. He doesn't get out of bed or anything...he just isn't getting enough sleep and has to wake up at 6:45. I just don't know what to do?

**Separating the rooms isn't an option. We live in a two bedroom home and our youngest will not sleep with us**

This is my first pregnancy and so Im just wondering! I may give TMI but Im trying to give the most info so I can get the most acturate answer!
Im 35 weeks and the past week or so Ive had loose bowel movements, today my lower back and right side around my hip started hurting..not coming and going just consistant, nauseaus feeling, and evey so often I get a sharp pain in my stomach close to my ribs..probably him kicking something. Last week i went out to a bar, and as i was dancing i notice i probely need to go to the bathroom because i belive i was starting my peroid. my period usally comes on the 6th of every month last month it came on the 3rd. so i figure maybe she is here early! so went to the bathroom notice i started so i left quickely! when i got home there was no bleeding at all wowow! i asked my boyfriend what was the date he said'' the 1st i said my peorid just stoped no spoting or nothing have not did that before! i notice cramps and sleppyness also that my nipples are so so sore to whereit hurts when i lay down. i also use the bathroom more. last month my period was kinda normal.could i be pregnet, or could my period just be late? if so why are my nipples so sore.

My daughter came home 3 months ago with a horrible bite mark on her forearm, you can still faintly see it. Today she came home with one on her cheek!!! No broken skin on either one, any advice on creams or anything to get rid of it?? Thanks!

I don't feel like my 2 month old eats enough. I switched her to soy milk she's still eating the same she has gastric reflux and the soy is sitting alot better in her stomach. She likes her formula better with rice cereal she drinks the whole bottle. I just don't feel like she's each enough. What are some of the things you did with your newborns? Also, what about they're sleeping? My baby sleeps alot. I don't know why? Is this normal..? What are also some of the things that you've done with your two month old babies

my best friend for many years has basically abandoned me since i got pregnant with my 1sts child. my daughter is almost 1 now and i confronted my friend on why she hasnt been around and why she associate herself with other friends with kids but not me. she confessed that she is jealous and doesnt know how to get over it. i feel she has done things to spite me recently and for her to bring my baby girl into it upsets me... she has lots of friends that have kids, why is she treating me this way, is the friendship worth saving? also she lives around the corner and never visits my daughter and i go out "socially " with her and other friends as often as a new mom can. i dont feel that i have changed and my other friends have all treated me the same as usual. advice please!!!

There is this girl i no.. she is 19 and has 2 kids.. she is in college and works.. she only works like 3 days a week just for extra money.. she is still with her babys dad.. they have an apartment together and pay all their bills and i think she does really good.. some ppl think she i a bad parent b/c she is young and dont spend a LOT of time with her kids.. what do u think.. i think she is doin a great job.. i mean i have two kids and i work and ppl dont talk about me like that but i am 23 so what is the big deal..( we live in a small town so everyone talks about everyone )

i ovulate late and I am now 12 DPO, but today I am also due for my period,
when I went pee this morning, there was pink, but nothing since. This is not normal for me at all. Normally when I begin to bleed, I beging to REALLY BLEED!!! I lost my mucos plug I have had diarrhea (not real bad) for 2 weeks menstrual cramping and back pain for a couple of days. This is my third the first was breech c-section the second was vbac this one is planned c-section (this one is ten years apart from the other two) my doctor said my internal is dialated 1 cm but not external which I thought there was only one kind of dialation I have not effaced and he has not dropped but I do have pubic separtion which is very painful. If anyone can tell me anything to put my mind at rest or call the doctor. Thanks

I am 7 weeks pregnant and I can not get enough to drink!!! I drink glass after glass after glass of water all day long and I'm still thirsty. Anyone know what could cause this? I've never been a big drinker before.

Excepet the ones that were asked yesterday and today this one is really REAL I need HELP. Here it goes yesterday was a jewish holiday and all public schools were off, so a person threw a unsupervised party yesterday i went duh anyway there was punch someone had put a acohol in it i knew something was in it by the taste but i didnt care it made me even want to drink it more i did . i got drunk! i went wild a friend told me i was flashing people! i always wanted to do that but i never did. anyway a cute high school guy who is a friend and is 16 and has a car took me to his house and but me on his ved and let me sleep there with an ice pack on my head i woke up and he drove me home. he sooo sweeet. but when i went to school people were calling me a slut.
