that really means she has awhole while to go.you are to dialate to a 10 before giving birth.a finger tip imght let the size of a penicl through the birth canal to the vaginia.she has awhile to go yet she will know when it is time.some people are dilated for months before giving birth some can dialate in an hour it just depends on the person and their body so dont panic and tell her not to and enjoy the time with the baby in the womb cause its a lot more work once the baby is here.good luck and god bless the new little one

Nov 9 is my son's birthday. How dilated she is isn't going to tell you how long she'll have to wait. Fingertip dilated usually means about 1 cm. I wasn't dilated at all, then all of a sudden, my water broke. Got to the hospital, was 1 cm dialated. 18 hours later, my son came.

No. She's hardly dilated at all. And it's totally possible to walk around many cm dilated for weeks before labor. Or to go into labor without being dilated at all.

it could be ..if she is dialating..but honestly..it sounds like her body is gonna dialate really slow....did you know you can walk around for a month being four centi's dialated....my mom did....tell her not to worry or get her hopes up that she will be due earlier...never know tho.

not even close.... 5 fingers is ready to diliver. It just means her body is getting ready... completely normal.
