I remember exploring myself at the age of 7 but as some ldy said, it was because it felt good, I was a child so there was nothing sexual about it. Then I remeber doing it again (in a sexual way) with a boyfriend when I was 18 and I liked it and starting exploring and knowing more about my own body since. I never really dit it before then, but it's really nice and there's nothing wrong about it.

I don't know if there is an average age. I myself have never done it. I know people are thinking I'm lying. But I'm not. It's never been my thing. I was always very religious and I never thought about it. Even after I fell away from the church a bit and started having sex I didn't enjoy touching myself, to me the pleasure was in the other person. But here recently since my husband has started being gone more often for his work. he will be going to Iraq in Jan. He got me a vibrater, and I love it. But other than that I don't masterbate and never have. I don't judge those who do I just have never felt the need.

My earliest memory of masturbation was around 5 or 6. At the time, it was nothing sexual, just that it felt good. When I got older (like puberty) that's when the thoughts started turning more sexual. Now that I'm an adult, my fantasies are very sexual, lol. Masturbation is normal and a stress reliever. I wish we didn't have such a stigma around our sexuality in this culture.

any age older than 15 is normal but i think i started at 16

I've heard many children start to discover themselves around 5 to 10 years of age. I don't recall doing it at that age but around puberty finding myself discovering the pleasure of it more.

I think the right age for it is between the ages of 16 to 18 years. This is when you are mature to enjoy sexual activities.
