My parents got a divorce when I was young,& I was never upset or bitter about it because it allowed me to go back to my hometown. Before the divorce, my dad got a promotion&we were forced to move away from our family to some unknown place. I was so happy, when he&mom got a divorce, because my mom, siblings&I got to leave. Do you think it's weird that after that, every single time my Dad took us back to his home for visitation, I would cry like a newborn? Even as I got older? Even if it was for a weekend visit, I would still cry any time I had to go with him&leave my mom. It affected me even once I hit my college years. Especially when I had to leave my mom to come to college. It's not nearly as bad now, but sometimes when I go home to visit for the weekend & have to come back to school I get misty eyed. My mom's family always jokes about it, but my Dad's family felt offended&blamed mom for making me that way. Anyone else experience this with ur kids or am I truly weird? lol

My boyfriend cheated on me, so I kicked him in the balls. As a result he lost a testicle!!! The kick was not that hard, I don’t know what happened! I feel so ashamed and guilty, I feel sick to my stomach. He will not press charges, but he does not want to see me again. He slept with a girl at a party because he was too drunk, he usually doesn’t drink. Will he ever forgive me? Anyone here had a similar experience? What can I do???

For the past year i attended nursing school 40hr per week and worked 30hr per week. Sometimes her sleeping in our bed was the only "time" i got to see her. I have another baby coming in Dec. and don't want her to think he is the reason she has to leave our room.

I used to take ballet, but I still don't because most of the places are too far away, and even though she promised months ago, my mom didn't call this one school to ask what ages they offer and now it's too late. She did this last year as well. Anyway, I just feel like I should be more active or involved with something. It seems like everyone else is in a sport, and I'd really love to be included in something such as ballet or I really want to do karate or a sports team. I mostly do things in chorus (advanced chorus, normal chorus, chorus where you dance, talent show, etc.) and I just really want to do something even a bit more active. Do you think I should look now, wait until next year, do something to try to get better, or just give it up?

It seems that a lot of us rate a kid's age in months until they reach 23 mos. Suddenly we go straight to fractions; the kid is 2., 2 and a half. Before you know it; the fractions are gone. Then, when we hit middle age, you guessed it; we shoot right to decades; Yeah, he's in his upper 40's (Yeah, I know, lower 40's mid 40's etc,) Oh, my little angel is 13 months old, and she can beat Daddy at racquetball.) Does anyone out there say "My little darling is 1"? Please, I am losing sleep over this. Rat

I always planned on stopping breastfeeding at 12 months but now I have got that far I think why? There is no need to stop, it makes both of us happy.
I was just wondering what your views and experiences are on feeding past a year.

I have been told that boys need to stand to pee. I have a 3 year old son who I have been trying to potty train and another son on the way in Late Jan. I been trying to train him to sit for both. He just dosen't really care about it right now.

To me is think it is so gross for a guy to stand up to pee. I will not allow it in my house. I trained my husband to sit. And I will train my sons to sit. I don't think it is less manly for a guy to sit. We sit, why can't a guy. Peeing standing up is gross and messy. I will not clean up there mess. There is no need for it!

I have in the last three years ...have had about four horrible periods...i think I may have been preg...i had very bad cramps..to the point of almost wanting to lay out in the back yard...There were lots of blood...more than normal...and thene i saw small clumps ..some i check(sorry if graphic)and they seem to be jelly like tissue...ans alot of clotting...thick...and stringy when using the bathroom...like it never wanted to end.No dripping just a long line from that was kinds slimy like...i am more than sorry to explain in such detail...but if you have experienced this before...then you understand...My question is...could those have been miscarriages or just really bad periods....I did not think about it until reading some things on here....

I am 6 months along with our 2nd son. We have a 3 year old son, Jason who has no desire to be potty trained at all. Now it isn't that I haven't tried. We have tried big boy undies, pull ups. Going to the potty every 2 hours, having Daddy show him. I am trying to teach him to sit for both. A. I think that peeing standing up is gross and I don't want the mess. B. I have trained my hubby to sit,. And I find nothing wrong with a boy sitting for both.
He just dosen't care. We have sat on the potty and read potty books, sat there for 30 min. nothing. We put him in his diper or big boy undies. And he pees. I don't think he gets it yet.

We have another son due Jan. 25, 2007. So, now I am not going to press it becuase I have heard that just potty trained kids will go back to dipers after the new baby is born.

So, I have 3 monthes to go before our little baby boy, Cody is born. Should I even bother at these point? I am hopeing that Jason will see that " Babies use dipers". Thoughts

I have seen many opinions about pot use during pregnancy and it seems to me that the people who are answering do not have any experience in either area ( pot smoking or pregnancy) which makes me wonder about something. Is there anyone out there who knows of a case were a child was born with problems because the mother smoked pot?? I am not looking for something that someone got out of a book or from a website. I want to hear from someone with first hand experience. Either someone who did it themselves or knows someone who did and can advise how the baby turned out. Also not looking for anyones opinion, just true results. Not talking about drinking and smoking or smoking cigs and pot because we already know that those things contribute to defects; strictly pot only. I think that this is a valid question that is worth answering and may shed some light. Again, not asking about what you would do if you were pregnant because what you would do is not the issue.

sitting in it? i have a Bebe Pod, she sits in it very well, but after a while she gets bored. i give her toys to hold, but she doesn't hold them for long and i was wondering... is there some kind of baby gym-like toy or anything else that has the right height to put it infront of her to play? perhaps a mini table with toys, maybe with buttons that she can press and light up or play music... i'm just brainstorming to see if i can find something fun to entertain her while she practices sitting up. i'd appreciate any helpful ideas!
