Have any of you mothers used catnip tea for a baby? I have a 13 month old, who has some health problems and someone told me to try catnip tea. Wouldn't chamomile tea be safer? I don't want to give him any seditives, so I haven't asked the doc for anything like that yet. He sleeps one night a week, and then won't even take naps anymore

If you've had sex,,you can be.
So many young women ask this question,,girls,,pleaseee take sex more serious & be adult about your relationships.Slow down,,be choosy,,just date,,being adult is knowing the results of your actions.Adults also use protection.

My daughter started school last month, and ever since then, she has said some very rude words. At first it was words such as "your such a dummy" or "you are a dork", I have tried talking to her, but she won't stop. In fact, it has gotten worse. She's now swearing, and calling her teacher stupid. Her teacher and I have spoken about this several times, and we can't seem to get my daughter to stop. I am worrying that she will say that to the wrong person, and will get hit or pushed. Can anybody tell me what to say to her and how to get her to stop?

Am I a loser for doing all of my homework on Friday? I just want to get it all done and out of the way so that I can have fun on the actual weekend part. Am I a loser?

I had a parent ask if I had children today (I'm a teacher) after we discussed the problems HER son is having. Of course I was insulted by the fact that she insinuated I'm somehow unqualified to teach/understand her child. Since when did getting knocked up make someone more qualified than 4 years of college (plus gobs of workshops) to teach? Do parents forget that we are with their children 8 hours a day? We KNOW how they perform in school. While these same children are apparently saints at home and NEVER lie, they're not at school. So my question, after this rant, is if there are parenting classes offered that people are actually taking. If so, what are they learning? Are they learning that empty threats and a lack of consequences are hurting their children? Are they learning that they too must have expectations for their children? Are they learning that it's important to give their children responsibilities? That popping a DVD in the VAN is NOT quality time? I'm curious.

Okay. my two year old daughter is very sweet most of the time. The exception is in the morning. She wakes up in a good mood and seems fine, but as soon as she realizes it is time to get ready to leave the house she flips. She screams and cries, kicks and rolls. How do I change her attitude towards getting ready? Sometimes I have to wait until she is in her car seat so I can safely put her shoes on.

My son 11years 11 months was recently diagnosed with AD/HD. Something I kind of suspected for sometime. He has been on the patch for about 2 weeks now at 15mg. We have seen no change in behavior. He has been in counseling for over a year now (stress desperation issues), with again it not seeming to be doing any good. In fact in most ways his behavior and attitude have gone way down hill. Both his mom and I are quickly becoming frazzled. He has not been diagnosed with any learning disabilities at this time. He is bright and very capable but he is failing half is classes none the less. His teachers are willing to do all they can for him, so we have good cooperation at school. We have been trying to balance rewards for doing and exceeding what is expected but also consciences for not doing what is expected. Any ideas, suggestions, things to try, a new mixed drink recipe (LOL) would be great. Being a parent the toughest job in the world. contact me at kjbarry_1999@yahoo.com

I am almost six weeks pregnant and when I called to get an appointment they couldn't get me in until November 15. That would make me almost 2 1/2 months by the time I see a doctor and have an ultrasound. They just told me that if I had any problems in the mean time to call?

I just started giving my 4-week-old baby tub baths (in her baby tub) and she urinates in the tub each time! I've resorted back to giving her sponge baths because I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions??

My little girl was a modest 7 lbs when she was born and is now 6 weeks old and still only 9 lbs (but very healthy) and is still SWIMMING in her newborn/0-3mos clothes! I can only put her in one piece outfits and roll the sleeves and ankles. Forget about any of the cute pants outfits I recieved from the baby shower they are almost out of season and she isn't even close to being able to keep them up. So my question is: did anyone else have this problem? When did your baby grow out of 0-3 months?
