I am almost six weeks pregnant and when I called to get an appointment they couldn't get me in until November 15. That would make me almost 2 1/2 months by the time I see a doctor and have an ultrasound. They just told me that if I had any problems in the mean time to call?

I wouldn't worry much. As long as you have your script for vitamins you will be fine. You won't have an ultrasound until 20 weeks give or take. If you have an illness or are feeling really poorly, call your regular doctor, same if you haven't been given a script for your vitamins. I was over 2 months, nearly 3 months when I first saw my OB. Don't worry, just relax.

You probably won't have an ultrasound until you're twenty weeks. If they think something is wrong with the baby (blood tests come back abnormal, you're having weird pains, etc.) then you'll get an ultrasound before twenty weeks.

It's fairly normal for the OB's office to be busy, especially this time of year. Don't worry about not going exactly when you want to, so long as you're feeling all the things that are normal in pregnancy you'll be fine.

YUp, OB's are busy now. I found out when I was 3 weeks prego, I was refur to my ob who made my first appointment when I was 12 weeks. THey sent me for blood work right away though, but I never seen the Dr until 12 weeks, then ultrasound within a weeek or 2

Yeah, that's pretty normal. I didn't have my first app. and ultrasound until I was 8 weeks. I know how you feel though, because it frustrated me too!

Find another OB, that isn't normal, that means they are way understaffed and/or have way to many patients. Find another one thats either with the same hospital or find a different one.

find another doctor. That is not a doctor you want to trust with the life of your child. congratulations, by the way! :O)

Should be no problem, unless there is a problem (and you are supposed to call if that happens). So, what is the problem, exactly?
